The Governor's Office for Regulatory Innovation and Assistance (ORIA) helps people navigate Washington's environmental and business regulatory systems and collaborates for innovative process improvements.

ORIA facilities the Small Business Liaison Team (SBLT) as they take action to make it easier to do business in Washington State. Our vision is to make Washington the best place to do business. The SBLT includes 29 state agency members available to help you navigate state requirements.

The question on the application that asks if you are a general or specialty contractor is kinda confusing. To get your contractors license, you need to have your business license. With someone like me who intends on getting their contractors license, this question makes me want to answer yes. It would be nice if there was a little help sign that explains what to do with your business license later if you plan on getting your contractors license. So I guess the only logical way to answer is No, then go get your contractors license and then update your business license later...?

Great until the lady came on, useless after that. She just keeps saying "we have several tools for that" and doesn't explain how to complete anything.
