So I watched a space documentary, and they said the shuttle didn't explode. The boosters did, but after it exploded, they were getting readings on the bodies inside the shuttle. They died from the impact when the shuttle hit the water.

The scariest part is that the crew cabin survived the blast. So they died when they hit the ocean.

Anyone saying that the Stirling engine is slow to speed up and heavy, I would like to forward you to the Nasa technical report related to this video where they put the Mod 2 (another Stirling engine) into a Chevrolet Celebrity. 0-60 was 12.4 on the Mod 2 (the "Spark Ignition" was 13.0) and the weight was only 100 lb heavier. (100 lb for a 1.25 ton vehicle)

I was a first grader, we watched it live in our class with several other classes joining us. I think I realized what had happened before my teacher could process it. She was in shock.

The only launch I’ve seen live. My wife bought me tickets to the observation area, but we were some how kicked out after the previous day scrub. We watched the launch from the causeway instead. How lucky was I that the Discovery Channel was doing a documentary during that very launch.

NASA: our goal is to make space travel routine! The loss of life is acceptable, calculated into the equation. Space X has yet to loose life, but it will...and sooner than expected.

I WAS NOT ABLE TO LEARN ANYTHING. THE SIMULATIONS WERE MISERABLE AND THE BACK GROUND MUSIC WAS VERY DISTURBING LIKEWISE THE MAN TALKING TOO FAST AND TOO MUCH. NASA SHOULD BE ABLE TO PROVIDE SOMETHING BETTER.

@42:45 It appears NASA isn't aware of the known geometrical shape Isosceles Trapezoid. Putting the audio from two takes in certain places also makes humanity glad we have SpaceX now.

I was in 6th grade watching this live with my teacher and classmates. It was the first time I ever saw a man cry since this brought my teacher to tears. My class, along with the 5th and 4th grade class was sent outside to the playground for a while so the teachers could come up with what you say and how to discuss things with us.

These are rhe sentinels of the planets. They are alive. They come to me all the time because i am connected to the Sun. His spiritual form has eyes all over him just like the Orphanim Angels. And if you look at a picture of the Sun you can see eyeballs on his physical body too. If you wish to connect to him. Just make a pyramid shape with your hands then look directly at the Sun between your fingers Nd say "I give my soul to thee for eternity ohh AtenTaRa" then do it looking backwards with your head tilted

If we had these in a hybrid to get something out of the wasted heat that makes up >60% of the energy loss in car engines, then we'd have cars more efficient than any non hybrid can be.

I remember that there was going to be a launch that day. By then, shuttle launches were routine and uneventful and the TV was off.. I tuned in a half hour later and was confused by what I was seeing and hearing. The announcer in a subdued voice described the launch and after hearing " Go at throttle up" the shuttle exploded. Terrible.

I am amazed that it even broke the sound barrier, as it's incredibly difficult to get the front-swept winged airplane to fly that stable during supersonic flight speed, surprisingly up to Mach 1.6 which is crazy for the front-swept wing design and don't get me wrong, I am actually impressed. And I wouldn't be surprised if it makes a comeback especially in a certain variable geometry front-swept wing hypersonic jet fighter (think Stealth movie), as it may be one of a few fuel efficient way to stretch fuel mileage a bit as apparently military is starting to actually care about how much fuel they're burning.
