The 'Becontree Estate' was built by the 'LCC' (London Country Council) it was the largest council housing estate in the world. It was built to rehouse people from mainly East and North London to better housing. The main employer was Ford Motor Company. Also my family was one of the first to move there from North London. Dagenham became part of the London Borough of Barking when the 'GLC' (Greater London Council) was formed around 1965. Thanks for reading this.😊😊

I used to live in Redbridge from around 1997 to around 2004. Lived on Danehurst Gardens down the road from the tube station. It was an absolute shit hole the crime was horrendous someone got shot outside my house. The racism was off the charts and people getting mugged left and right on the way home from school.

This is the nearest i get to Hoxton. Do i miss it? - No As a kid i would walk from Drysdale Street to Burbage School, one end of Hoxton street to the other end. Then shorter walk to Shoreditch secondary school 😊

Thank you for this, plus the explanation of why this happened. War. Most beautiful place. Yes, this can happen anywhere. Yes, we, the regular people, wish no more war anywhere. Can Americans live in Abkhazia? I am thinking about it if a certain person is elected president in 2024. Have watched videos of Abkhazia.....looks nice.
