Hope I finally get in man I’m getting sick of the wait for my goal

@@AaronTrilloHey Dr. Trillo! Quick question. How many hours do you think would be enough for med school volunteering as a Spanish translator? I have 72 hours right now and estimate 150 ish by application time in May. Do you think this is enough?
@AaronTrillo2 ай бұрын
@@salvadorarreguin3910 The number of hours actually doesnt matter. Its what you are able to relay in your cv/interview/PS about the experience that makes you want to pursue being a physician.

Watching this after 5 years of you posting it and it's more relatable than ever. I'm in my second and failed it, mentally in a very tough place already before the failure and now its getting just worse, would prolly start therapy soon because it's unbearable. I don't know how to study, with what mental I'd start this again and how to manage my stress and anxiety that are almost killing me. I must admit I haven't studied this year so in part it's on me. I still have 2 months before the start of the new college year, I'd try to start a new life with new habits and make studying a habit as well. Thanks for this video though, seeing you successful now and making other amazing videos gave me hope.

Hi, I just wanted to pop in after seeing this comment to let you know that in 2 days I will be DONE with intern year. Not 1 patient, attending, or coresident has ever asked me if I had to repeat a year. Once it's all said and done you will be a doctor and see how little this barrier is. I know it feels insurmountable right now but just know you can make it through and become the doctor you deserve to be and that your patients will be glad you became. 🙏🏽

Today I wanted to jump in nile, I have failed just by one subject. And for next year whole year all I have to study is that one subject. Thankyou for making this video. You saved me. I am not going to give up. I will work hard, clear usmle, and I will delete my all online presence. Just only two things I want to ask you brother. 1. What should I do any tips? 2.how do I utilize my time to study for usmle, is there a platform good for that.
@AaronTrillo Жыл бұрын
Hey man don't give up. I am a Dr now and although residency is really difficult. You can make it thorugh medical school. I always suggest students use Uworld and Amboss to study for USMLE. Focus on taking care of yourself and your family. Medicine will always be there. Do not let it consume your life. You are more than your studies and becoming a doctor. When you pass in a year please come back and comment.

I love watching these things. I’m a PA. I had my first job in family medicine. Worked there for 22 months and had to leave. The thing about paperwork, etc being so bad is yes! That’s one reason I left. We were scheduled 8-5, with no admin time. And they wanted us seeing at least 20-22 patients a day. I was taking so much work home, on weekends, staying late, etc. at my office, we were also working a Saturday 4 times a year and that same week, on call for that week once the clinic closed. So it was rough. The thing I like about the flexibility is I’m able to change specialties so I’m looking into general surgery or hospital medicine. In family medicine in Florida, straight out of school I started with 100k a year.
@AaronTrillo Жыл бұрын
I am sorry this happened to you. On day 1 of Residency, I started receiving all the admin messages before meeting my patients! There is a lot of admin work, and I would encourage you to fight for an admin day if you return to FM. Unsustainable what you were working! I hope to do clinic, inpatient medicine, and OB as part of my practice :)
@MHSMagicLuver Жыл бұрын
@@AaronTrillo oh for sure! Even if not in family medicine, I’m making sure I’ll have enough time to chart and not have to take it home. You learn from your mistakes and luckily it wasn’t the worst mistake just a stressful one.
