Me and my family initially thought it was because of the cold weather in our state or if it was because of a malfunction, but once I saw this video, the doors started to work again! This solution helped me by a LOT.

Thank you for the very informative video! I’ve been working on trying to turn Christmas Village houses into a Harry Potter Christmas Village and was getting super frustrated trying to use air dry Crayola clay to alter them (hint: the crayola air dry clay crumbled into dust the next day). But this tutorial really helped and I’ve been using the sculpty and model magic and it’s working so much better!! I’ll be able to get them done for my sister in laws Christmas present now! Thank you!
@chicaandjo5 күн бұрын
So glad to hear that I was able to help! I agree -- the Crayola Air-Dry Clay is only meant for kid's crafts, and does not hold up well over time. And neither does the Model Magic, really, so I would definitely recommend going with the Sculpey (either one) for better long-term durability.

Curious if you need a special printer for the pictures? Laser or ink jet printer
@chicaandjo6 күн бұрын
We have created these with inkjet and laser and get similar results. I have a slight preference for laser because the colors are brighter and it holds up better to handling but if you only have inkjet it should work just fine 😀

Hii, do you think if it works on matt boards as well?
@chicaandjo18 күн бұрын
Hmm, that's a good question! I don't have any on hand to test with, but I suspect it would work jsut fine, as long as you use a thin, fine-tooth blade. If you try it out, let me know how it goes!

Thanks! You are the best! This is way more important to me, because the passenger-side sliding door also brings out the wheelchair ramp for my wife. I was in a little panic when I realized it wasn't working, and I was planning to call the company that did the conversion first thing tomorrow. However, I figured I'd check on KZbin for info, and, luckily, I found this one! Thanks again!

@chicaandjoАй бұрын
The elapsed time on this original video was under a minute. I could have gone faster but it was my first large tree so I was being extra careful. (And P.S. the battery gauge was still showing 4/4 lights after the cut!)

A shop mechanic would charge commission ($100 minimum), to just push that button. I have a 2005 Dodge Grand Caravan and my right sliding door does not respond, jammed in the lock position. I seen a video, but it's still going to take some time for an old-er man: I'll have to take the seats out to have more room, and thank GOD that the weather's cooled down.

This is awesome!! I’m going to try this for my daughter birthday! How many rolls of the pink paper did you use?
@chicaandjoАй бұрын
So glad you like it! How many rolls you need will depend on how large your box is. We used three rolls of the pink paper -- but our box was quite large and we didn't want any seams, so we used a fresh piece on each side.

About how many ornaments and size?
@chicaandjoАй бұрын
For a 36" tomato cage, I ended up using about 200 standard-size 2-1/4" ornaments. (Tip: buy them after Christmas on clearance for making trees next year!)
@KingHarlequin1999Ай бұрын
Have you thinked about altering Lladro, Nao and Golden Memories (similar to Precious Moments) figurines, especially the unglazed ones with matte finish? Their prices varies between $15 to $150 for common smaller children figurines.
@chicaandjoАй бұрын
I have not considered altering any other figurines. I like the PMs because they can be found very easily for just a few dollars and there are lots of fun poses to work with.
