Hi Alvis, the stock hold by supplier in the FC can also also called VMI (Vendor Managed Inventory). Correct??

Hello Subbu. VMI is a term which is always used up the supply chain. That means if I'm a manufacturing company and my RM is stored at the supplier's end and I get that just in time to my facility. Then that is called SMI or VMI (supplier managed inventory or vendor managed inventory). VMI Vs FBA: FBA (Fulfillment by Amazon) is not typically considered a traditional Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI) system. In FBA, sellers send their products to Amazon's fulfillment centers, and Amazon takes care of storage, packaging, and shipping to customers. The responsibility of managing inventory levels still falls primarily on the seller, not Amazon. VMI, on the other hand, involves the vendor actively managing inventory levels at the customer's location, often using real-time data. I trust this clarifies. Regards, Alvis

Warehouse height depends on what kind of equipment you select… ideally, we select the equipment based on the height of the warehouse. Standard width what we normally called as Bay entry is 2.7 metres which is the most commonly used one.

Hi, unfortunately, there is nothing called as the best software. What do you need to look towards is identifying the best software which suits your business the best. The reason is every software has its pros and cons. I would recommend you start with writing your functional requirement, definitions which is nothing but the functionalities which would make you successful and then go to the market and find out the software which best suits that. Thank you! There are different types of picking that can happen in a warehouse. Either it is a pallet picking or handling unit level picking or carton level picking or it is piece picking. In a piece picking the individual pieces of a product is picked from the storage unit. In most cases, equipment like order, picker or stock chasers are used. On the second part of your question, please elaborate what is the kind of issue you are talking about?
