As an iron worker would connecting the captive eye to a Beamer work as well?

Yes it would, you can connect to any anchorage point that would otherwise meet the requirements set by OSHA.

This is one of the great belaying device out there which allows you to go hands free, but I don't know why it's not that popular.

because of the rope sizes it accepts not being that diverse . people like to have somthing that can fit most ropes . it is popular fir tactical uses though as they allways use same ropes

That extending ladder is for sure not 3 feet above the landing.

Hey, @clevtonjr.9941! Thanks for your observation. Under most circumstances, 3 feet of length above a landing is required. Though we must remember that, not all workspaces allow this clearance. In the event you find yourself in a position where you are unable to meet this clearance due to limitations in the workspace, just remember to reference Section 1926.1053(b)(1) in the OSHA guidelines to remain compliant! Make sure to reach out to us if you ever have any questions on fall safety.

@@frenchcreekfallsafety9021 there is definitely enough space to extend it 3 feet. Also just yankin' your chain. Great video very informative!😂

Hello! The rope grab displayed in this video is a manual rope grab and requires the user to actively release the grip to secure it. Trailing rope grabs are automatic rope grabs designed to freely move along with the user. In the event of a fall, they will bite into the rope to secure the user. If you ever have questions about how to use a piece of fall safety equipment, manufacturers are required to provide instructions on proper use.
