Looks like the change in orientation of the internal zips would allow you to access the pockets by slipping a hand into the bag, instead of having to fully open the whole clamshell. This would be preferable if wanting to grab a jumper from your bag in the airport or when it is under your seat.

This is the EXACT review I needed! I have the old version in 28 and 35 and I love them. I would like the water bottle pocket but it’s not a deal breaker and the other changes I could care less about. I think I’m gonna be good with my old versions. Oh, I have the 20l but haven’t used it yet!

Yes, you are a smaller person, but if you are traveling via AIR, regardless of size, your limitation is fitting the maximum allowable size luggage for airlines.to replace heavier standard carry-on luggage that limits what you can bring/ pack with you. For THAT purpose I believe this is pretty good, not to mention the price and the brand. But for non-airline trvels, yes, I see your point. 🙂

If you’re torn between the two I would lean towards the cheaper one (Allpa) however if you’re able to try them on you might find one works a lot better for you than the other

I had the Cotopaxi Allpa VERY briefly. I returned it after packing it out. For the size, in my opinion it doesn’t carry very much. The SEG28 appears to carry much much more.

The Amazon description says the main compartment is 32L, the other 8L are the sum of the other pockets.

Decathlon's Quencha NH Escape 500 are great bags. I have 2 non-rolltop version, 1 is 16L for daily commuting and 1 more 23L for traveling. Very strong and capable bags.

Thanks for your video! Cotopaxi makes great bags but like you said a bit pricey. I bought a COR Surf and it has the same internal compartments for a much more reasonable price! You should check them out if you haven’t already! 😊

So I am confused. You mentioned that you carry a lot of gear and so 35l is not always enough, but now you are downgrading? Is it perhaps because Cotopaxi didn’t give you a free bag?

Yeah I decided to downsize bags because a brand wouldn’t give my tiny youtube channel a free one… 🙄😂 I’ve been happy with 28L for over a year now, but there are still trips were you need more gear than others and that makes even 35L hard
