Other reviewers say this bag is closer to a 35L then 40L. For me personally this is a good thing. Good honest review.

The Amazon description says the main compartment is 32L, the other 8L are the sum of the other pockets.

​@@mikeleone1347 I hope every product description specified their main compartment size. Just bought Bange 30L but its main compartment actually just 15L (expanded) while the rest spread to other compartment.

Yes, you are a smaller person, but if you are traveling via AIR, regardless of size, your limitation is fitting the maximum allowable size luggage for airlines.to replace heavier standard carry-on luggage that limits what you can bring/ pack with you. For THAT purpose I believe this is pretty good, not to mention the price and the brand. But for non-airline trvels, yes, I see your point. 🙂

You totally could! And I actually have used it for both. The clamshell opening can be a bit annoying for office use but not a huge deal
