You forgot to mention Keke in both languages as a wheel or a rolling wheel. Kekevi is the wheel that ropes or tailors have their saw yarn is rolled on. As children, we used kekevi to make cars

Thank you this was very informative for me especially because I was born in Ghana but raised in the US. So I cannot speak ewe fluently. This helps us! Our parents were so busy making sure we speak English for school. As we got older and not exercising our native tongue we as children are unable to speak it 😔. Please don’t stop your content if you feel you don’t get enough views. There is someone you are helping and it is very much needed and appreciated 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾 Thank you for this content ❤

Very inspiring and educative. It's about time we start inculcating our culture values in the younger generation who, unfortunately, are becoming more American 😂 in behaviour due to our educational system that teaches in English with knowledge more centred on Western culture. Thanks for the thought.

It's important to correct a common misconception: Sylvanus Olympio, the first president of Togo, was not of Ewe descent. His mother, Fidélia Afé Nanaga, was Mamprusi, from the Dapaong region in northern Togo. His father, Epiphanio Elpidio Olympio, was of Afro-Brazilian descent.

I said it's speculative because you do not know that Eʋe is paleo Hebrew ( The Ancient Hebrew language) and that every single letter has several meaning so you can't just breakdown words into syllabus and ascribe meaning to them without any references to ancient text ,history nor oral tradition and claim to demystify this great Shemitic and Israelite language used to script /ŋlɔ The Hebrew Biblia. Know that if even every single letter has several meaning and cultural context for each use how much more words like the month of the year. You also used a modern much new language like English which is derived from French,German and Greek as reference to Ʋ language which is most ancient language . Modern Hebrew is not ancient Hebrew which is derived language from Paleo Hebrew ,Arabic and Araimai I think you much dig a little more history of Ʋ before you do your videos . Now with internaet and info era there is no excuse .
@ewedemystified2 ай бұрын
@@omanforyhvhgameli5318 I don’t care that it’s Hebrew, actually. The channel isn’t about proving it is. The names of the months are words in themselves, yes, but the parts are not syllables as you describe them; they are actual words too. Take dzodze, for instance. Dzo is an entire word on its own and means fire. I think you intend to teach something else and that’s fine. I could do that too, but that’s not what my channel is about. I am not eager to be a Hebrew because I can be saved in any tribe, ethnicity, nationality, etc. Too many people trying to be Hebrew!
@omanforyhvhgameli53182 ай бұрын
I didn't make Hebrew a subject of contention for salvation so don't deviate from my point. Dzo does not only mean fire Dzo also means jump Dzo also means go Dzo also means gone Dzo also means away etc.... Also the Gregorian calendar month does not follow that of Ɛʋɛ . The Ɛʋɛ people had these names before landing in thier present day settlements from Kana , keme ,ketu , Israel etc and the weather conditions along their migration route changes along the way . So you can't ascribe modern conditions to ancient names and claim you do not care for it being a Shemitic language .Why do you then say Demystify and not slangnify . Because you are just slanging the name of month in your own slang and not the proper Ɛʋɛ language that commands great ,respect because its ancient and not z lost. language without heritage and cultural context
