My Husky is MUCH easier to start than my Stihl, and yes I know how to do it. My Husky takes two pulls to start unless it has been sitting in the barn all night at -10F or colder, in which case it takes 3 pulls. I have to bring the Stihl inside to have any chance of starting in real freezing temperatures. Once started they both work very well.

@richarddodds9326 the MS 311 and the Rancher are not pro grade. Those were compared to each other. The two saws at the end are not clam shell, and are pro saws

I like your efficiency of the space you use in your boat, your anchor pole is ingenius, great idea and design, I also have the same Briggs and Stratton Outboard motor, reliable and efficient little outboard, great job .

I had an old 5hp air cooled Briggs outboard. I don't think they still make them, but it did well on that little boat!

@TheLowBudgetOutdoorsman thank you, brotha I really appreciate it. Well, if they don't then I'll at least look at other 5hp air-cooled outboards.

I’ve had a 1436 alumacraft for about a year now, reinforced transom with some 6061 and a lot of marine 5200 to put a 15 horse on it. Now I’ve gotta borrow some ideas from your video cause that’s a sweet little set up, bet it’s great for setting trotlines

I have a 1436 and go 20mph with a 9.8 tohatsu. If I put a 25 or a 30hp on that thing how fast do you think I would go?
@TheLowBudgetOutdoorsman9 ай бұрын
My 1436 will run 30 mph. So you should get at least that speed. Make sure the transom is reinforced to be rated to handle whatever outboard you put on it.

The length can vary a little, just make it about the same length as you make the upper support arms.

It's all relative. Swap chains and the Husky would probably be quicker. It seemed you pushed the Stihl a lot harder, especially at the start.

I mean it’s a cool idea but why is it made out of wood ?
@glennvernes8305 Жыл бұрын
There's more to a chainsaw than cutting performance. The peripheral systems like the bar oiler, chain brake, and air filtration are also important, and I think Stihl has Husqvarna beat in these areas, at least at the price level being tested here. The Husky's cut well and cold start easily, but Stihl's are better designed in the peripheral areas. The older the saws are, the better the Stihl will perform relative to the Husky.
