Bass Fishing on Kentucky Lake in Small Jon Boat

I took the Jon Boat to KY Lake for the afternoon. Fishing is a lot of fun, so find a spot near you to go fishing. From the bank or a small boat, there are lots of options out there for anglers to enjoy.

Yeah, the roll up to one spot and pull 20+ pounds are not very common anymore. There does seem to be a lot more bass in the 14" to 15" range, so I am hopeful in another year or two they will be 3 to 4 pounders.

My Jon is a 12 footer and I’m thinking of fishing lake Barkley in the spring Do you know any decent resorts that might be situated in a cove or in a wind protected bay? Thx and great game video

Not sure of what resorts are on Barkley, but there are plenty of public boat ramps that are in areas protected from much of the wind or waves.

Thank you for watching and commenting. The boat is more stable side to side than a canoe or kayak, but is not as good in waves or larger swells as a sit-on kayak would be, because those can't really sink, just roll over. But I have fished countless hours from this little boat, and it does great for small water lakes, protected bays on larger lakes, and especially getting in creeks.

It is just a 10' jon boat...but allows me to fish a lot more than I could solely from the bank.
