and there were a few baller moments that happened during a few of those runs: 1) John Carpenter calling his dad letting him know he'd win the million. 2) Joe Trela ran outta lifelines at the $32,000 question 3) Kim Hunt spent lots of time on his $500,000 question and ultimately took the gamble going with his phone a friend 4) David Goodman was another one that had all lifelines going into the million, but unlike Carpenter, he used all of em 5) Kevin Olmstead knew both the final 2 questions 6) Bernie Cullen was probably the funniest of all the Regis winners 7) Ed Toutant was a contestant during the string of 118 shows without a millionaire, lost on his $32,000 question, but because he sent in a letter saying it was a faulty question and the show reviewed it themselves, they brought him back under the same circumstances with a new $32,000 question. 8) Kevin Smith was the first person to see the $500k, and million dollar questions on Meridith's run as host. As well, he used his phone a friend on the $500,000 question, they had a high degree of confidence in their answer, but Kevin decided to take a massive gamble and NOT go with his friend. Instead going with his gut. 9) Nancy Christy ran outta lifelines at the $16,000 question. Also a side note, the contestant after her also won $500,000 for a total of 29 correct answers in a row over those 2 runs 10) Sam Murray won $50,000 on his original run, but because he did it in a fast enough fashion, he was the last person to get into the top 10 for millionaire's tournament of 10. it should also be noted that if a contestant guessed on their million dollar question and got it wrong, then their total they won from their run would still be reduced back down to $25,000, because everyone in that top 10 had won at least $50,000. a side note as well: the woman seen in the hot seat while the confetti was raining down for Sam had won $250,000 on her run. what's funny is on her $500,000 question, she knew all of the specifics of the question but didnt know the question itself. that resulted in her timing out, and automatically walking away because she did not answer the question
