So, will the branches that are skinny thicken up or just the new growth once they are put in more sun?

I was just here today, Steve is doing good and it was a pleasure to meet him in person! I got myself a nice little El Grullo to add to my trellis, I absolutely adore this nursery and in the two times I've been here have found myself wandering for hours just enjoying the many beautiful exotic plants.

Paul, do you or Paco know if "CFA Desert King 16" is the same as Desert Weed? The "CFA Desert King 16" is just becoming more available and I am rooting some cuttings now. Thanks again for these wonderful videos and will be very important historically.

I asked if sugarbee apples are healthy and find they have a low glycemic index, have antioxidants to help manage blood sugar levels, are low in sodium and have no fat. They do have potassium, so watch your intake if you have kidney disease as I do. Offhand, I'd say they are a perfect choice for apple lovers.

Hi Paul. Well done. How does the big plant look like nowadays? Has the big plant recovered well and grown much since the repotting? I am very interested about it, since I should also repot a lot of dragon fruit plants ;-)

Hey Paul, greeting from Virginia. Do you ever sell cuttings? I want to grow dragon fruit in my state. so cold tolerant varieties.

Hi Paul back in the 90's we started growing African Cycads in 15 gallon black pot's and we partially buried the pot's, and it's still being done because the growth rate is excellent and the plants thrive like their in the ground.

Hi Paul, I grow some in white pots to avoid sunburn in the heatwave. Maybe you could experiment three plants to demonstrate growth with terracotta vs white plastic vs black plastic pots in the future. Glad gophers didn't eat all your dragon fruit cuttings. 🎉

😀 They are great flowering plants for a cottage like garden We live in a subtropical climate in Australia and they grow well as long as soil isn’t too rich or heavy Btw Love the California accent! We say Muhla Muhla as in Duh ? Not moola moola but all good !

If you want to double the rooting time add a air pump n stone to water solution, it will also keep water moving and less frequent changes. I’ve notice stagnant water slows the rooting process 😊

My vines are much longer than 15 feet I have to help it stay on the trellis. Some that I have on the side of my house have invaded my neighbors yard. I told her what they were and asked if she wanted me to remove the ones on her side. She thanked me for planting them!😅

I wonder how cold hardy are these cactuses? I live in North Texas outside of Dallas. I think we're 8a. I've been trying to do some research to see if I would be able to plant these in the ground in my yard but I don't want to plant them and they die because every few years we do get pretty frosty here.
