Bonjour l’ami.

I'd love to find out why two of our Mexican fan palms are dying. We tried to become members of the International Palm Society, but they ask more personal questions than a CIA application form. Horrible.

Wow, thanks for that, mate! It’s a pest plant here in Australia, and I know where there is a lot of it, recently flowered. I’m looking forward to bag fulls of bush tucker in a couple of months' time. The farmer hates it as cattle won’t go near it and birds spread the seeds.

Are you still watering once or twice a week with the evening temps being in the 40s? I’ve added some water barrels to my small green house to maintain heat in the evenings. You guys are a little colder up there then I am here in Lakeside

yeah. Still watering. It's a bit colder but it's also super dry right now.

Looking good! Regarding the greenhouse -- do you get strong winds in the winter? If so, the greenhouse may need additional strapping and tying down. I had one in the Bay Area and it blew upwards off its foundation several times in one season!
@WhatPlantisthatPaul7 күн бұрын
winds can be a factor but not too bad out in San diego.

It's my favorite apple, because it's not too sweet as most apples, not too acidic, slight berry flavor, and properly it has a very faint bitterness barely noticeable but gives a 'just right' touch, but not too bitter,… if they're picked too early they're too bitter. I love the somewhat coarse airy texture. To me it tastes mostly like berries. Depends on the growing conditions and other factors. To me Lucy Glo is the most healthy feeling apple I've eaten.

Mine is blooming for the first time tonight and I'm really impressed by the fragrance. I have many nocturnal cacti in many genera and this is easily one of my favourites. I would describe mine as combo of sweetness, fruitiness, spice, and an overall delicious cologne, a bit like opening a box of Fruit Loops cereal. It's fairly strong too, 7.5 out of 10. One flower is certainly filling the room with a pleasant sweet and 'yummy ' scent, with that special 'something' that most other cacti perfumes seem to lack. Very satisfying and up there with the finest. It scores a solid 9.5 out of 10. Absolutely wonderful ❤️❤❤
