The voice is a competition for aspiring artists. The coaches are turned with their backs to the stage, and if they like a person's voice and want them on their team, they have to push the button to turn their chairs. If two or more judges/coaches turn for a contestant, then the contestant chooses which coach they want. There are multiple versions in different countries including the US. I'm surprised you haven't seen or heard of it especially cause it's been around for years now. But better late than never 😅
