This band is incredible and really overlooked, every album has its own sound and have amazing songs, especially knowing that they started at the age of 14 and got worldwide success at the age of 16. Great, insanely creative band that people should check out Great video by the way

Great band, frickin awesome band! These guys started off as a school band & won awards big time, downunder! (Australia) I've had a crush on the singer when I was a young gal, actually I still do!

Omg I loooooved Silverchair! They were one of my favorite bands when I was a teenager. So good seeing old school Silverchair. I loved Daniel Johns voice

I'd actually never seen this performance before, good pick.

@@DylanSterling it's the MuchMusic intimate and interactive performance from 1997. Just in case you want to look it up. It was the very first concert I had in my, what would become enormous, silverchair-video collection. Lol

They’ve been my favorite band since I was 11 years old I’m 36 now, their bassist Chris Joannoi influenced me to start playing the bass myself when I was in high school I had an alternative and hardcore punk band.

Dave Grohl was in his 20s in Nirvana which ended in 1994 when Kurt Cobain died. He’s 10 years older than Daniel Johns so he would have been 25 in 1994. Daniel Johns wrote this song when he was 13.

This was February 1997. All the members were 17 at the time. I watched this when it played live 2/4/97 the day after their 2nd album Freakshow was released.

Per the reaction section. He did not break the guitar. I still follow the members and their current projects. He is still using that guitar from one of the last studio pictures I have seen.
@Spedly3 жыл бұрын
Youre right, he didnt break his green PRS. But the picture youre talking about is a different guitar. Its his black PRS McCarty Standard

Daniel Johns here sounded exactly like Kurt Cobain (NIRVANA) crossed with Alexi Laiho (CHILDREN OF BODOM) in many parts of the harsher vocal sections.
