Frank always loved or hated certain kinds of music and he’ll let you know exactly why, yet you will never see him act more neutral than he does when talking about Jimi. That’s the highest praise to Hendrix and the clearest example of Frank’s soulless cynicism. As talented and unique as both of them were, in art heart beats technical prowess

As much as I love Frank, there’s always been songs and there will always be songs, regardless of who wrote/writes them. We don’t say, we don’t like a Tom Cruise film or a Sly Stallone film because we don’t like the screenplay or screenwriters. Who cares? How many of today’s biggest stars write their own music? Yeah, I thought so. Lieber and Stoller were 2 Jewish white boys from NYC and wrote 3 #1 songs for Elvis, out of over 30 number one (#1) hits. So, without the 2 white Jewishwhite boys Elvis wouldn’t be nothing? Gimme a break and stop the nonsense Frank. 😊

Frank missed it entirely. "Conspiracies" are part and parcel of the historical track record of any dynasty. To keep power, at least some in power would have their own Mother assassinated. Human nature at its darkest ... but still human nature.

I wonder how Frank would have seen what is happening in politics today. I bet he would see it more like Elon does and recognize the Democrat Party as the greatest threat to individual liberty. It's the Democrats who support censorship today, and it's the Republican Party that's left to defend free speech and the 1st amendment. Complete 180 from the time this interview was shot. Frank always described himself as a Constitutional Conservative, but despised the Republican party

The problem with democracy is ignorant voters and the nonstatesmen they elect. Voting should require passing a literacy test, one that reveals understanding of US history, science, and the arts. Those who don't pass the test should stay home, insert their binky, and zone out to their TV.

If anyone is interested in Frank Zappa's home life, not shown in other books, from getting up to going to bed, composing at the piano, rehearsing with the Mothers, visiting rock stars, freaks, family squabbles, and more, then read 'Freak Out! My Life with Frank Zappa 1968-1971 Laurel Canyon'. It is my story from meeting Frank in London when publicising the Mother's first European tour in 1967 and ended up living and working in his house with Gail, Moon Unit, and seven others, thus the book's unique access.

Frank Zappa and George Carlin were intelligent critical thinkers that saw through and called out the hypocrisy of our elected politicians. Our youth today are too indoctrinated to think for themselves and are too easily lead to believe how they should live, say and think. To be a free critical thinker today makes you an enemy of the deep state.

If Zappa was alive today how he would feel considering that teenagers today promote communism and political correctness and sex-change as if it was the new trend in clothing or hairstyles? Joe Mcarthy was evil, what is going on today is ABOMINABLE!

Frank Zappa was absolutely correct in everything he said in this interview. especially in regards to the United States Government. don't ever listen to any politician in our Government. because they don't have you're best interest in mind. I would would really like to know his thoughts on Trump? I'm absolutely sure that he would explain Trump as the pitiful excuse for a human being that he is. it would be so great to have Frank Zappa around today. he is definitely missed.

It doesn't take much imagination to think what Zappa's reaction to Trump's takeover of the Republican Party would have been. And a debate would have no doubt ended with his being attacked as evil or some such by Trump, a man to whom reason is a foreign concept.
