Meryl Streep's will never be welcomed in Australia, not after mocking a dead baby that was eaten alive by a Dingo. She has such evil American eyes. She is disgusting, indeed. Everything I see about the United States is like a new height of insanity. The US is the Mount Everest of lunacy. It can't get any crazier than that.🤮

Totally sounds like a woman. Not convincing at all
@filipzawistowski85525 жыл бұрын
It isn't meant to be 100% convincing, you're supposed to know it's Meryl Streep. The miniseries does what the original play does, with the same small core of actors playing many different roles, and in the play the rabbi is played by the same actress who plays Hannah/Ethel Rosenberg/the doctor. So when you watch the miniseries you see all the different actors and you're like "Oh, we're all connected" or whatever message you take from it :)
@markmh8354 жыл бұрын

To add - having worked with people with AIDS through the truly dark times...the portrayals of hallucinations is accurate, as is the portrayal of Prior when asking for companionship in the hospital. Many of my clients had (literally) no family who would support them, as the disease was considered 'gay plague' / 'an act of God' / &/or so communicable that even sharing of a bathroom or silverware was feared. It was not yet understood that brain lesions were part of many diagnosis, nor was it understood that silverware/plates/bathroom facilities/glassware was NOT a method of infection, So many people suffered additional stigma and isolation because of the ignorance of those not understanding the virus. And it continues, smh.

"Eric .... this a Jewish name?" Love the way she delivers that line. Watching the reactions of the people in the pews is as good as it gets. Acting is reacting. Acting without saying a word. Wonderful. As for Ms. Streep .. perfection.
