I heard that as a kid and it terrified me. It consciously kept my heart rate down to save it up for later. My sister just passed away due to aortic dissection last week. She went in on an emergency Tuesday night, was misdiagnosed and had a severe tear and collapsed Thursday. It’s so shocking and I didn’t even know arteries could dissect like that. While my family’s story is different I am happy to hear that with quick actions, great doctors and OR staff and prayers it is survivable. You’re truly blessed.
