Just in case anyone has missed the huge significance of the times here....Sebastien Coe, the 6 times world record breaker, double Olympic 1500m champion and double 800m silver medallist from 1980 and 1984, was also the first man in the 800m to run under 1:43 and then the first under 1:42. Since then until now, only 2 men had ever run faster...Kipketer and Rudisha. However, the three men in Paris, all in the same race, have leap-frogged Coe's time pushing him down from 3rd to 6th on the all-time list. These times are astonishing and the Paris Olympic final is going to be exciting.

Running 10 seconds won't get you anything this coming olympics when you have people in the 9.7 & 8
@Eddybo225 күн бұрын
@@destro4450 that may be true but unless all the big names are in the same draws there will be someone bound to squeeze in with a 10.00 clocking.
@destro44505 күн бұрын
@@Eddybo22 definitely all the big names will make it to the final round that lineup is already tight as we speak. Noah, Kenny, Tebogo, Seville, Thompson, Fred, Jacobs(who I personally think won't make it as well), Zharnel, Simbine..... this just shows you that to make into those 9 lanes next year will be tough

@@destro4450 fair point, there are a lot of heavy hitters but let us really see who makes it. Time will tell but Paris will definitely be exciting.

excellent battle at the finish but the winning time is slower than the 3rd place finisher at the US trials. That is not a good sign for their fate in Paris.
