Why are they letting them blow those horns during the start? And what's the deal with the finish line being at an angle to the track? Why are they starting on a stagger in the 100m? The runners can't even tell who's ahead. Weird.

The finish line is straight. I think you're seeing the starting line for the distance races.

@@jamezkpal2361 Nope everybody stopped running when they crossed the line where the numbers are and the line is angled in the opposite direction for the distance races and those are curved anyway. Go look at it again, that finish line is not at a right angle to the track and lane markers.

I believe the Olympic qualifying time is 11.17 so unless they meet that they won't be there anyway.
