I felt from the start the deadlift would be harder, bench likely harder than squat for people who haven't done bunch of benching before. 2,5x bw deadlift to 2x squat to 1,5x bench seem more in line of similar to me. I'd also feel like 1,5x bw pullup should be harder than 2x bw deadlift. Maybe 1,5x bw deadlift to 1x bw for bench, squat and pullup for something a bit more of similar difficulty?

I disagree that these numbers should be based on bodyweight, or on age, or on whether you're male or female. They should be calculable actual numbers, absolute weight is the measure of strength. Otherwise, you're measuring relative strength to bodyweight.

140kg is top 5%? I squat that for 8 reps at 16 years old with 60kg bodyweight leg pressing 2 sets of 20 rep 200kg weekly as part of a prep for entry to the uniformed services for my diploma, pretty common in the UK.

Making butter is super cheap and easy. And you can get creative with it too, cowboy butter is a must-try, definitely one of our favorites.

Did he fake failure on that first 65 kg bench? It started going back up right before she grabbed it, and pretty fast, too. Looks like he had it and was pretending he didn't so the video would be better.

Stalling and going backwards on deadlifts is to be expected. It’s because it is super fatiguing on your central nervous system, especially so when you’re maxing out like this every week. General recommendation for strength is to work in the 3-5 rep range and just do maxes occasionally

Having a good mentor really helps when first climbing outside. I didn’t have one and having a consistent climbing partner helps a lot too so you can climb outside as much as possible. I’ve been climbing for 8 years now and I’m still learning and I’ve taught newer climbers stuff too.

You should aim for top 5% of strength for men who workout. Top 5% of general population isn't that impressive for someone who works out regularly.

So when you're undergoing a hypertrophy phase, its really easy to accumulate a lot of fatigue, so when you train a lot, especially in comound lifts that are intense for the central nervous system such as the deadlift, you're going to experience a lot of plateaus in strength, when in fact, it's often the highest predictor indicative of effective and challenging training for muscle growth. Training to be fatigued is a point of pride, it's not ideal, but its indefinite proof you're pushing yourself muscularly and neurologically. Be proud!!!!

Couple of things: I would advise using wrist straps instead of doing the alternate grip because that can lead to bicep tears on the arm with the forward-facing palm The reason that doing barbell bench press is dangerous without a spotter is the risk of the wrists collapsing and the barbell coming down on the chest at speed. It's not so much the risk of getting trapped under the bar, especially if you don't use collars (you shouldn't in this situation).

Here’s the thing though, even though it was the fastest marathon time so far. It’s not counted as the record. Because Kipchoge had a group of runners with him and a pacer. So until someone does it without that, it won’t be counted as the official record

Tried doing homemade butter using thick/double cream. It never came out as butter. It was just oil and cream and it came out hot because of the friction caused by the blender.

The reason you saw less rapid progress on deadlift is because it takes much longer to recover from than the other lifts. You're targetting multiple larger muscle groups that can take up to 10 days to recover fully if going for a 1 Rep max.

In my opinion for most men, you are strong if you can do 3-4-5. 3 plate bench 315lbs 4 plate squat 405lbs 5 plate deadlift 495lbs * I am still working towards those numbers. You cheated yourself by not doing squats. You should have a heavy squat/ light deadlift day and a light squat/ heavy deadlift day at least.

A chin-up is aptly called that because almost anyone can comfortably end with the chin over the bar. In a pullup, not everyone can do that without bastardizing the last bit of the movement. In fact, very muscular people can barely get their damn nose to the bar because there's too much meat on the lats/traps/triceps to get into that position.
