This is a pretty popular Deceiver streamer with possible variations. I really liked the way you explain it. How durable are these eyes with this setup? I like them too, but my fish tear them off, so I tie them like you do, only I don't cut the end, I bend it back and then cut off the excess. Then I apply glue to the back of the eyes, but don't press too hard so as not to lose volume. Anyway, thanks for the video.

@@Duke-fly thanks! I find them to be durable. Eventually they pop off like all eyes, but overall, pretty durable!

Honestly, it’s a lot of swinging and wait. You can switch it up though! In the fall, sometimes a fast retrieve works best!

Just found this video despite posting it some time ago. Beautiful eel pattern and yea, it looks deadly for bass. Very nice fly.

well thought out, practical incorporation of two styles. Do the feathers kick on the jerk? Ever put a short articulated shank on for the tail. Try Preditor wrap for flash. Drabon tail? What a chassis. Thanks. Bob

@@TheStreamUrchin1 hey, thank you! They do give some good movement and I have tried a mono extended body, like a beast fly. That worked well, but I hate tying on mono. Never tried a predator wrap, but will definitely in the future!

I honestly can't think of an overrated fish to catch. It's all fun! Top fish for me are bass and pike and my least favorite to catch are probably bluegill and other pan fish. But on the other hand, pan fish can get so pretty that they're fun to catch as well. I guess I'd say Bluegill if I had to pick
