Greetings from Poland to Lithuanian brothers. It looks Lithuania and Poland have similar gun laws. Currently, in Warsaw, if you apply for a sports and collector's permit at the same time, you receive permission from the Police to purchase up to 40 weapons. 10 for a sports permit and 30 for a collector's permit. If you use up the limit, you submit an application and receive an extension. A weapon registered for a sports permit can be carried concealed with a cartridge in the chamber. You can buy pistols, shotguns and semi-automatic rifles with a sports permit. There are no limits on the amount of ammunition. You can only buy ammunition in the caliber that fits the weapon that is registered to you. The weapon and ammunition must be stored in a safe. More than 50 weapons must be stored in a specially prepared room called a weapons warehouse. To obtain a weapons permit, you must pass an exam on the regulations, a practical exam, a medical and psychological examination, and you cannot have a criminal record. In practice, obtaining a weapons permit in Poland is easier than a driving license.

Yes, its an awesome handgun. For concealability, reliability, and ammo capacity (when using the Shield Arms flush-fit 15 round mags) it's pretty much impossible to beat. The MOS version did not exist yet when I got mine, but I modified it by removing the rear dovetail iron sight and installed the MOS plate with a red dot. Love it even more now.

I fear the Gunsmith doesn't understand or can't explain correctly the self defense laws in France. In France you have three laws who allows citizens to use force on an agressor. There's a common point on these three laws, you need to be proportionate in the degree of force you use. 1st is article 53 of the C.P.P ( Code de procédure pénale) that allows any citizen to stop an offender as long as the offence he is committing can send him to prison. 2nd is "Self defense " law, ( art 122-5 code pénal, who allows to resist an actual agression, your retaliation must be proportionnate to the attack ( You can retaliate in a letal way if the threat is letal, meaning you can shoot somebody with a knife) 122-6 code pénal When you are attacked at night at home the law state that you are presumed in self defense. This presumption of self defense is often " destroyed " by the judges who are always searching the proportionate use of force ( Excluded in fact in this particular case) Art L122-7 ( Necessity state) , that allows you to use force to protect your goods against any threat but won't work if somebody is killed. So in France you can use force to protect yourself, your kin or even your goods as long as it is proportioned to the threat you face.

Seems like the most sensible gun legislation in Europe. I wish I lived in Lithuania instead of the UK! They didn't talk about moderators, strangely there is no problem with them here in the UK, they are considered standard on everything you licence rom .22 to 50 BMG.
