The pepper core is definitely edible...it adds so much depth to the dish!

As a South African I'd go lighter on the crushed chilli in this case, but definitely add garlic to the sautéed veg. Frozen Mixed veg is also often used in this, but peas alone is also quite fine. Otherwise its pretty typical of how we do it here.

Y You can add a nob of butter inside or a teaspoonfull of water to steam it from the inside or some people put a small amount of clotted cream inside please pasty

If you're going to remove that much fat, you might as well just use pork collar and do a jelly stock separately. It's wasteful. You can use trotters to make stock. It comes from the connective tissues in the meat mostly

We didn't actually add veggies, it was just boil it with a bit oil , tumeric and water and thats it, the flavor mostly come from sauces
