When you turn off Aim Smoothing in game, it doesn’t actually turn it off. You have to change the value in the CVAR file for it to actually be turned off.

I know this doesn't matter to 99% of the playerbase but, I just wish there was a UI scaler like warframe, im legally blind and cant see my buffs etc, and its impossible for me to do torn between dimensions with the filter they put you through. Not having good peripheral videos doesn't help seeing my radar either.

The 4th melee bind is actually exactly what I do and I'm quite happy with it, especially when running Threadrunner. I also have a bind on my keyboard for uncharged melees but that's just a preference thing.

I play controller on PC, my key binds for melee are regular RB for charged, click in right thumbstick for uncharged, finisher is double click left thumbstick. This keeps alot of the melee the same, the only difference is you get the option to use uncharged when desired, and a small downside is that if you dont have a melee charge RB wont do anything.

for the love of fuck as a controller user and warlock player I just want my melee to always use charged melee, i shouldn't have to set up a weird layout just to have that, I have died more times than I can fucking count because of this stupid 7 meter lunging, auto tracking to enemies southwest of me and off my fucking screen melee mechanic

Bonus tidbit about console/controller FoV: it REALLY can mess with how the aa strength *feels*. In PvE, it doesn’t matter that much. However, it does in crucible. At 105 FoV, using Ace, aa felt almost nonexistent. At 95 FoV, what I usually run, Ace’s aa feels strong again. My guess is this occurs due to the aa cone staying the same in-game size regardless of FoV, but it *feels* stronger at lower FoV settings, even if it’s artificially so.

For the TV thing, you have to change the scan settings on the device, not in game Also, thorough ≠ ocd 😭 HDR is not supported on all displays which is why it can cause problems

Regarding melee configuration I usually just switch between 2 modes: 1 (Auto Melee) for PvP and 3 (charged and uncharged on the same key) for PvE. I really wish we could have multiple setting profiles for different game modes. Its really annoying having to switch between these keybinds everytime I play PvP or PvE.

Thought I'd add and ask a few things. The changing "Y" button to switch for heavy is good. But you don't need to if you use an Xbox Elite controller. Especially since depending on how you play and have it mapped, your fingers are already on that paddle. Also, how exactly do you map the toggle and hold crouch button too? I have no idea what to do for "Hold Crouch". Also the Ambient Occlusion, Shadows & Foliage, Environmental Detail Distance, Character Detail. These specific settings make it extremely unfair in some PvP games. Since PC players can modify this and Console players are stuck with what we have. It's a setting that shouldn't be allowed to be messed with in PvP games. Especially if forced crossplay is required. And that was me just ranting.

I HARDLY disagree with motion blur off, i love motion blur in games, if i turn this off - my game is ALWAYS feels like choppy trash, i have freesync monitor with g-sync-compatible and i'm stiil turn motion blur on, bacause if i dont - my game feels not smooth at all. If anyone know how to fix this - write me how pls

something to keep in mind for the radar: if you're like me and forget to check your radar a lot, putting on the darkest setting can help make a habit of checking it.

Another suggestion for keybinds/button mapping is that you can use a combination of inputs. For example, I can swap to my heavy weapon by pressing X + A at the same time. Great video 😎👍

Ok I'm gonna give you a good tip for the Melee button so please pin this if you set CHARGED MELEE to LONG PRESS and UNCHARGED MELEE to DOUBLE PRESS with AUTO MELEE unbound you can use the same button it works like a charm it's perfect for console players

I think Xbox is always set to cross play cause of gamepass, I know ps players have streaming too but it’s always tied to a console whereas Xbox gamepass can be used with only a pc

800dpi?... Maybe I'm just crazy but I usually switch between 1600 and 2400dpi depending on the game I'm playing and/or weapons I'm using. And I usually don't adjust sens much on PC games so my true sens is probably all over the place from game to game lol.

How about if once you changed from PS4 to PS5 your aim feels way off? Yes I did use hdmi included & not my old 1. I'm on a tv, not a monitor.

@@chrisperry4014 I'll have to look. I assumed my settings would carry over from PS4 to PS5 which from what I could tell, they did. Nothing looks any different as far as in game, it just feels like I have way less control over my shots, my aim etc. It's like going from feeling stable & steady to feeling ultra clumsy & like my guns r greased. Melee, grenades too feel like I suddenly started gaming for the 1st time & have to learn how to control everything from scratch. It's actually made what should b exciting (a new console) feel regrettable even tho it looks great & is obviously snappier & an upgrade but I went from a decent player to a poor player due to how wonky it feels. I've gotten a bit more used to it but I still don't like how it feels compared to playing on PS4 & the much better control I felt with ds4 controller

@@aisforannihilation1662 you can still play with a ds4 controller if you’d like. Just connect the charger to the console and pair it. Hope that helps you find out if it’s the settings or just the controller differences. Personally, I’m so used to my ds5 controller that I can’t imagine using anything else bc of the adaptive triggers and sonic/haptic feedback, even though I used ps4 for years. Perhaps it is your aim smoothing setting as well. Like he said in the video, it decelerates and accelerates your aim speed based on how close you are to a target. This can throw off aim a bunch.
