I got forum banned for criticizing the leadership and management because someone took offense to it when it was my rights as an customer to give satisfactory feedback about the service and you can’t do that anymore due to insensitivity and current year policies in the entertainment industry because now companies can claim hate speech and harassment if anyone criticizes them that Lead me to boycott Bungie because I had enough of getting censored and banned for adding my frustration and voice so including by deleting the app from my phone and playing other games.

Nah, the greed is actually WORSE now that Activision is gone, if you can believe it or not. I have no problem saying I was one of those people that foolishly thought that the split was a good thing and would improve the game and lessen greedy tactics… As we can all see, that mindset was completely wrong and it actually looks like Activision was the ones keeping Bungie in check. I think the raid controversy could have a video to itself in how messed up the rabbit hole goes. So many players don't play raids due to their difficulty and the inability to get a team. However destiny 2 vets who know how this game works can learn the raids faster as they may have a team or have experience enough to join other players. I've met so many newer players scared to go into raids with all the kwtd posts and I've seen many experienced players get angry at newer players trying to join and learn. (There is merit to both sides.) Destiny tried to make a sherpa system that is better than nothing but is still awful. Now some better players will help newer players by getting them through the raid, they won't teach them though, they will carry them. If someone gets carried it will create 2 problems, problem A: sherpas that do teach will no longer teach this person due to not getting a sherpa number out of it. problem b, the player gets a skewed idea of the raid being ad clear when it is in fact mechanics based. Another problem is how hard the raid should be. It's often I see people say that certain raids are too hard (vow, gos, etc.) while on the other hand the better players say every raid is easy. I think it's a matter of not only perspective but how you were taught. There were many people I have taught gos to, and I've heard a handful of them say "why did the person that teach me the first time make it sound so confusing." And this said person would then think the raid is easy. However if they never had that experience they would think the raid is hard. I don't think the raids are that hard, and I think if newer players were taught well, and put some time into them they would think the same. One last problem I want to address is teaching is difficult. We often are trying to make a nice environment for the people we are teaching, and are constantly getting judged if we don't know everything. A lot of my friends who do want to teach raids are too scared to start because they don't have enough experience in teaching the raids. There really isn't enough incentive for most sherpas to get past that therefore it's just easier to carry someone through the raids. Raids are tricky and I really hope they make a better sherpa system.
@chillidari-9392
@chillidari-9392 Жыл бұрын
Raids in D2 are not difficult. Anyone can easily learn them and if a new players wants to learn them they can join a sherpa or make their own learning group and if everyone isn't running around in rares and random legendaries then they will clear in the session. Anyone who says D2 raids are at all difficult outside of contest out themselves as having never played another game with any kind of raiding content, cause D2 raids are the easiest in the industry. And then RoN came out and sunk that bar even lower!

Regarding RoN vs KF, part of the difficulty at the time of KF's release was trying to balance around Divinity. The input choice controversy is one purely of Bungie's own making. Matchmaking in any player versus player mode with any SBMM or competitive angle should be done based on input first and foremost. Controller against controller and MNK against MNK, no mixing of the inputs whatsoever. When you queue for a match you should be locked into using whatever input you are using. If you want to play crucible with a friend in another input... tough luck. Go play Team Scorched or something.

The real issue for RON in my opinion was lack of diverse raid mechanics that led to a simplification ( and reduction of difficulty) that stems from only 1 raid mechanic controlling 3/4 of the raid. With one raid mechanic, which was not a hard to understand/operate/ communicate, it created a situation similar to “spire of the watcher” where it feels like they put 60-70% of the creative process in the aesthetics and only 30~% in the raids combat/mechanical design. To be real RON is a “pretty” raid. But other raids in the past had more mechanics and as such had more moving parts to work with. These moving parts created a systematic difficulty based on understanding, implementation, and most importantly communication between players. In RON’s case you really only need 2-3 players in the fireteam to have a working understanding of the mechanics to complete the raid with 3 add clears. Raids like SCOURGE required everyone to have a role and working understanding to be able to complete challenges.

I feel like the amount of encounters makes the completion percentage tank. Also the time it’s allowed, but that graphic showing RoN and Kings Fall completion was eye opening. Although, KF technically has 7 different encounters to gain loot, RoN has only 4. I was part of that 4.8% that completed Normal KF and Challenge mode, we were stuck on Warpriest challenge for 8 hours due to the inconsistent brand stealer timing to pickup, to steal. It was very challenging and I’d like to see Wrath of the Machine follow the same format. 24 hours for a normal run, then challenges. The main argument is for new raids, which I see little to no problem it being 48 hours post launch. It gives everyone ample time with bugs and sleep (which is very important, especially for casual players) RoN was very easy don’t get me wrong, but with a new raid coming out I feel like if they added more encounters to a new raid with a 24 hour mark with challenging mechanics (see Last Wish but without the vault) It would be a slam dunk. This is long as hell but to wrap up, challenging mechanics, handful of encounters like KF, Last Wish (no vault) and players new and experienced alike can definitely get along.

At that point it's a disservice to the high end players. Advocate for a Contest mode difficulty select instead. With resistance I think it depends who you are as a player. Do you minmax? Do you use the most meta of builds every season? Are you designing your characters, weapons, and mods around a play style? If this group than yes resilience can be very strong as you already have a lot going for you. Or Are you the type who doesn't care, you don't care about sandbox, you don't care which subclass/mods work well this season? Do you like the weapon you like, and the subclass just because they are your favorite to play? Are you playing the game for fun (putting enjoyment above DPS)? If so than its likely not OP for you, as you have little working for you. You are either one, every player is either one, you can be either one at any given point but most tend to either maximize/master the mechanics in game to their benefit, or they simply play to have fun and don't care about much else. This can easily explain the 50/50 as these two types of players are very easy to spot in game.

Which means, other two have to invest into more stats overall. It feels a bit weird, its the same as if mobility gave something special, for example much faster reload speed for guns, or recovery adding automaticaly triggering overshields when your health would drop criticaly low. See my point? I do not really care about resilience giving what it give, but that one class just scored jackpot.

With regards to Day 1 raids, there is one specific individual (whom I will not name) who will never be happy until their team is the only team that has the emblem. It will be a tall order, though, since said person's team is basically always having to 5-man those Day 1 raids by virtue of being forced to field this person. As this video pointed out, though maybe not intentionally, that the Day 1 raid issue isn't even necessarily the 48 hour window. The issue is that the raids might be getting easier or the playerbase as a whole is getting more competent at figuring out Bungie's extremely limited bag of tricks (which is probably why Bungie's usual go-to for "difficulty" is to turn things into sponges that sling nukes).

The final shape raid needs to be more difficult than Ron. First encounter only needs one person to do a mechanic. However, Vow’s encounter where everyone has to do a mechanic is a bit much in my opinion, mainly because you can’t show people what they need to do easily. I’d be down for an encounter like that if you could walk around the arena without starting the encounter. As far as day 1’s go, I think there should be separate rewards for 1st ever clear, day 1 completion, and if Bungie extends the time limit on challenge mode, there should be a different, less impressive reward for teams who complete it after the first 24 hours

Sunsetting was and is the biggest mistake Bungie ever did with D2. I also feel it was forced brought on by them. They said in a TWAB along the lines of "no one wants to use the new weapons we spend time and resources on" well when they give them bad perk combos it's beyond me why no one uses them. Then with that being the criticism shield they went full steam ahead. If pinnacles were the problem then do away with just those not everything in the entire game.

The SBMM shouldn’t be a thing for QP/IB. Those two modes should be focused on getting to games quickly. Comp should focus on your rank in the comp playlist and trials…this is tricky. You need a complex system that takes into account, skill, your card, flawless numbers, and win loss ratio for the week. I shouldn’t be going up against a team that is on lighthouse game on my very first game, I also believe that if you go flawless more than once then you should play people similar to you. But then you have win resetters, to witch they need to look at there win/lose/flawless ratios to determine if there resetters. If someone has 400 wins but like 4 losses and no flawless, then they should be put into a different pool

I quit Destiny 2 and started playing Warframe, I know they are two different games but they are similar in in structure, funny enough Digital Extreme proves Bungie wrong in many ways... Warframe has been on the market for 10 years now, instead of removing old content like Bungie did in 2020, DE remastered it and made it better, every weapon since the game launched is still in the game, sure they vault prime Warframes but that doesn't mean they are removed, you can still get them by trading with other players. Also, the game had an engine overhaul which made the game look better and run smoother, meanwhile back in 2020 Bungie was blah blah blah with their engine overhaul and look what happened, PVP is barely playable and theere's server maintenance almost every week, Warframe is a much bigger game made by a fraction of the amount of employees at Bungie, it seems like their only focus is in cosmetics on eververse. When the final shape goes on sale I will buy it, I got sick and tired of the senseless and repetitive seasonal grind.

I don't think anyone can argue that resil is strong in pve. If you think about when you go into a master dungeon/raid or even the legend versions, or legend campaign. I think most people would consider that you are literally throwing if you don't have at least 90 resil maybe 80 at the least. No one even cares much about your other stats, just resil. This makes me think it is a bit too strong even after the nerf, but I'm indifferent about a nerf.

Forgot one...one word...Mountaintop. Or rather, 'content locked' and 'time limited' weapons. As well as weapons which can be rather tricky to get as they are locked behind 'endgame' content AND require RNG (pre-nerf Vex Mythoclast anyone?) Incredibly overpowered weapons which are locked behind a piece of content where very few people like to play it. Then, when someone has it, it is so oppressive that you don't need another weapon. Lets face it, part of the reason they did sunsetting is because of problematic weapons like Mountaintop. There is a reason we've not seen a return of these kinds of 'special' playlist weapons with their original perks. They are simply 'too strong' if you don't give their special perks to other weapons. Remember how strong Desperado was originally when it came out? Now it is 'meh' to situational at best.

This makes modding for hunters a lot less convinient than for the other classes as they have an easy dump stat that hunters lack.

Getting stomped in literally ANY pvp game is a canon event and no developer should intervene too much on that. Babying people because they refuse to learn or try is what kills games. It doesn't have a challenge, and it becomes extremely boring. I didn't learn how to really use mods until like after season of Opulence, I played pvp with no targeting mods at all until shadowkeep. I got rightfully stomped but my aim got so much better and then slapping those mods on make me feel like pvp got way easier for me. I found some reddit post that delved into all the mods and I learned that you do not want anything below 30 and that single reddit post literally taught me the game properly. I wasn't bad at pve, I ended up getting the Shadow title and I ran that raid flawless twice, couple of petras, me learning the mods and them getting changed didn't make it feel like it made it too easy, it made it feel like a breath of fresh air. A little break from fighting for my life constantly. There is still a challenge harder content, where I am treating pve like pvp and having to peak champs and such. GIVE ME BACK MY SUBTLE CALAMITY PLEASE I AM ON MY KNEES I genuinely hope there will be more mechanics added, more things to do in game that isn't just shooting enemies. I loved the fishing but it could really be touched up on, and there could be a lot of things added that give guardians more things to so. I have no idea how anyone else would feel, but I would no life pvp just cause there was a duo mode (crimson days) or I'd spend all day doing SRL if I could, I want to show off my sparrows, they feel so useless at times. Sometimes I will literally just go driving around in the overworld finding paths and ramps and doing tricks and such. It raises my hopes so high seeing sparrows in activities and seeing pathways in areas that very much resemble a track. Them having the day one emblem available for two days was the best thing they could have done due to have bad the servers were. I was pissed when I found out you had to do the reprised raids twice, I just left after learning that. The ROOT raid was pretty hard for our team. People forget that good players all group up on those days and newer players or "bad" players are constantly left behind, and that happened pretty badly for ROOT. The only way some people were able to get the day one was to hop from team to team because at some point it becomes very obvious that the team isn't going anywhere anymore. That is literally all the Destiny 2 Discord LFG server was filled with, people alone or in duos/trios looking for people halfway through the raid. I think the loud minority of players that play this game more often than they should be often go over those new to the game or those that aren't as good, thinking that they are the larger population of the game when they really aren't. That itself is harming the player-base as a whole and just general playability. You have people leaving in droves cause they are bored, they want more, yet when people make suggestions or talk about past events that got them to play more, they are constantly harassed by this loud minority and basically silenced. Its really bad on Facebook with this especially, seeing new guardians constantly be harassed or treated awful for asking questions or needing help by these veteran players. Like I'm all for a challenge, and I said I wanted to see more mechanics and such, but there is a point where it does become too difficult for the newer player, or players who simply don't have the time to put in 5000 hours of Destiny 2 alone. I really hope to see a balance in it, along with the 48 hour "day ones" for raids simply because I missed out on several simply because I kept getting kicked from the servers so much that it ended up taking too long. All our veterans can be done and offline resting, allowing others a chance to actually connect. Or those who can't get off work the first 24 hours. Let people have a chance and honestly, I wanted to avoid the term but its incredibly hard to do so when the literal definition is being done against new and casual players so constantly, but ya'll gotta stop gatekeeping. Ya'll gotta stop being so hateful that other people got an emblem or an emote. You'd think this behavior and mentality would have stopped with the Calus Toast emote and how bungie when about that. I earned that emote like bungie wanted and then a literal week later I went and helped idk how many people through a title card that just gave you the emote. I didn't and couldn't give two shits that they got it the "easy way". Some of ya'll need heavy reminders to what it was like for you when you first started, or a chance at being in the shoes of a player who just isn't good. Its okay to let people have some things lmfao, just know when enough is enough and not to go too far with it.

Bungie needs to consider trying to increase player population with content that isnt pinnacle end game content. It doesn't make sense to try to get new players into the hardest content anyways. Day 1 raids should never have been pushed towards new players, it is intended to be the pinnacle of Destinys PvE endgame. Use something else to get new players in, and let them discover what the hardcore players are doing once they are in. Seems pretty simple to me...

Number 1: Resiliance is strong, i had no idea it does so many things. The damage résistance is totally normal for something called resilience. But it shouldn't be a big factor in PvP. To make a comparison, hunters are a bit like scouts from tf2 mixed with spies, warlock look like medics and a bit of soldier while titans look like heavy and demoman. It make sens to separate them in differents "armor resistance classes" in TF2 because every class have different weapons, not in Destiny 2 so for balancing damage resistance in PvP should also be the same when not having a status effect. Number 2: Micro transactions are ok if they are just cosmetics. For DLCs its another subject, raid keys shouldn't be to buy on top of the DLC the raid is from though. Number 3: The problem isn't sbmm, it never is. The problems are how the skill is quantified and that casual play should be separated from ranked. I don't know how to improve the skill part of sbmm but separating the playlist between casual and ranked for every mods of play, that should be done. Just make a menu like classic or legendary for the campaign difficulty but for casual or ranked before choosing the activity like carnage or capture the flag. Number 4: ... are you serious... ? The game is out since so long and there is terms for manythings that only players who were in the community for long enought would understand. Like Blueberries. But callouts aren't really a thing yet ??? ... In a way thats impressive i guess. Number 5: Do the players complaining about that knows that powercreep is in every video game since decades ? 'Cause thats embarrassing for them. Of course past exotics should remain usable, but they are the exceptions, not the norm. Number 6: Keep calm, use what ever you feel the most confortable with (expect cheats), get good. None is better than the others, just play, keep calm, get good. The skill issues come from between the controller/keyboard and the chair. And also, like solarlight show on TF2: controllers can do flicks like mouses with a well set gyroscope. If your controller have one at least. Number 7: Just continue doing like with the latest one, its good now.

I myself wasn't really on either side of the argument when it came to the damage resistance buff on resilience. My main problem was the scaling being completely out of wack. The Difference between tier 1 to 5 is 5% but from 5 to 8 is 10?! My main suggestion was to rebalance the scaling on the damage resistance on top of a slight nerf because to be honest 40% was just a bit too much and I suggested 30. And would you look at that when the patch notes finally rolled around they nerfed it to 30% on top of rebalancing the scaling on different tiers of resilience. It honestly felt really good to be right on the money when it came to the changes.

But then Bungie effectively double-nerfed Resilience and overly punished low Resilience players by scaling combatant damage under the assumption that you had 100 Resilience at all times. They traded one "mandatory" mod for a mandatory stat, which I would argue is way worse as it's far more restrictive regarding builds and takes far longer to grind the right armor for.

Some guns should not be sunsetted such as raid weapons. Armor should NEVER be sunsetted because having to grind for the correct role AGAIN is a fucking pain in the balls and IS annoying

For a long time one of our friends could never participate because they had work but thanks to the extension we were able to tackle it together just a couple hours after the raid released. Plus if you beat it on contest then you beat it. Even if it took longer you overcame that challenge so to gatekeep the emblem behind a time limit is stupid. BUT the difficulty should be at minimum on par with Vow of the Disciple, RON while did give my fireteam trouble was still a bit too easy for a day 1 raid and I miss the absolute grueling difficulty of something like Day 1 caretaker.
