@@12VDHuey I read that as well. No issues without the washer? I got the IE rocker locks made of aluminum. Are you using steel?

@@evilinthebrain I did break 2 rocker arms on cyl #1 a few months ago. Not really sure what happened exactly but I blame the quality of Bilstein on that, casting doesn't look great. I had ran that cylinder head for years without an issue

Gotcha. I'm making sure that I thoroughly clean the bolt holes this time because that can be a factor as well. Recently converted to the b32/b34 gooseneck at the back of the cylinder head. To me it just makes a bit more sense with coolant flow. Hopefully reduce the likelihood of hot spots

@@12VDHuey First I assumed that the holes weren‘t cleaned good enough by the past owner but I think there is more to it. If the holes weren‘t cleaned good enough in these cases why are the cracks on all blocks nearly identical and at the same side? I also found someone who claimed to have these cracks in an unopened engine and in two others after some years where he mounted the head himself and cleaned the bolt holes thoroughly prior to installing the head. Anyways, need to get out the block of my e34 and find a replacement which isn‘t as cheap as it used to be :/

Finishing up the process for my settlement right now. The plan is to get another shell and swap things over

Pretty much yes. I did flip the throttle body Alpina Style about a year ago. So the engine is drawing in air from the driver's side of the engine bay like most 24 Valve BMWs. I even ran an m50 air filter box but fitment just wasn't right so I went with a cone style filter for now that gives me enough clearance.

Yeah man from day 1, the dashboard never loaded up fully for me, not a single trade I could actually track in the metrics. Just the trading app which was buggy and sketchy to use because I would take a trade but wouldn't be able to place a target or stop loss. I actually intended on getting it dyno'd soon. Someone just hit my car over the weekend while I was out of town so that may be on hold for a bit. Since this video was made I've made modifications to the intake manifold so I'm thinking roughly 260hp now to the crank with all the mods, and roughly around the same torque I'm guessing.

@@Robertgio Thanks! It still has the Mark D chip, so it's technically tuned for a stock car. A real tune for it's current condition should yield better results but my first Dyno session will be a good starting point. Then eventually I'll go standalone so I can ditch the AFM and have full tunability.

I have poly black in my e34 which is stiffer. Honestly didn't notice much if a difference at all, these yellow bushings are on the softer side a little closer to stock rubber yet firmer.
