This is super helpful! I was getting so pissed, but for another reason also. I was using custom controls which does not let you map a dodge. It’s a miracle I made it this far without knowing dodge even existed in the game. All I gotta do is learn the default control scheme and use this strategy.

Fun fact: You should be able to slam-fire with the M1897 shotgun in Resident Evil Village because the gun is based on the Winchester Model 1897 shotgun (maybe that’s already obvious). Also. The variant is the trench gun variant, with some engraving. Slam-fire is (this is what I know, so correct me if I’m wrong) like shooting a full auto firearm but with the repeater firearm (does not include the break-action). But yeah, you can’t slam-fire the shotgun (seems like the Romanians installed a disconnector in the shotgun)

Air control should never be in the basic kit. Even the so called majorty of the community like to use it that doesnt mean most ppl good at using it. And you are one of those ppl who use AC that dont even good at using it. You can have super dumper movement even without AC. You just didnt try it at all. Also the air strafing completely broke Doom Eternal's AI, thats the biggest reason why ppl like to use it, no beacuse those ppl have some kind of good movement, more ofen you can see a AC player stay in a tiny space and never move out, thats called good fucking movement? Nope! It's so broken that it almost feels like you're "cheating".

I noticed the ancient gods part 2 is significantly shorter than part 1. Part 1 can basically be summed up as an endurance test. It's non stop hard fights that test your skill and also endurance being able to keep up with the level. Part 2 on the other hand has easier and shorter fights and lends to being a more streamlined experience. Focused more on the story than the gameplay. Each level in part 1 took me about an hour to beat but in part 2 I was able to complete the entire dlc in roughly 2 hours. It really comes down to your preferences do you want long difficult fights that require a lot of focus to complete? Or do you want a more story based experience with some challenge but mostly a casual experience.
