A correction, those 1/8" jacks for the drums are actually for the Casio DP-1 drumpad or SS-1 Soundstick addons, you can also get one of those kids drumkits with impact sensors from a thrift shop cheaply and run the wire for each sensor to a bunch of 1/8" TRS plugs for a cheaper option. Basically, when it detects that Left/right has been crossed to neutral/ground(ie. when the impact sensor is activated), it triggers that drum sound

How do u connect a cd player to this mixer and a seperate amp as im going to start djaying im old scool so ile be using mini disk player and cd olay can u explain how i would connect both players to this and then how i connect a seperate amp thank you and i look foward to your reply many thanks

The cheap and easy method is to purchase RCA Female to 1/4 inch TS Male Adapters. You will need 6 of these adapters if you’re running a minidisc play, cd player, and feeding into and amp, assuming your using a stereo receiver as your amp. Otherwise you would use a two standard 1/4 inch audio cable for pro audio amps. You plug the adapters onto the end of your RCA patch cord and use the line input on channel 7/8 for minidisc and 9/10 for CD player. Just use the main outs to feed into your amp. You can use RCA cables with the 1/4 adapter.

I might buy a Casio MT-520 one day but I'm currently eyeing up a Casio MT-500. This keyboard has more punchy drums even though it has less sounds but the MT-500 has 20 sounds which back then was quite a lot of sounds to have on a home keyboard. Growing up I used to have a Casio MT-210 that my Aunt loaned to us from 1997-2004.

I have a lot of DSI / Sequential hardware and while some do have a few minor issues, so does my vintage Roland and Moog gear. It’s just part of the fun of owning vintage analog hardware. RIP Dave

Very few analog synths have a true stereo signal path and that's what makes the Poly Evolver sound so amazing to this day. I never had any issues with the rack unit. I owned it for about 10 years before selling it to a gentleman in Hawaii. The hardware interface was limited on features. Although the app worked well, I'm not a fan of turning knobs with a mouse.

@RetroSynths Жыл бұрын
The mixer has mono balanced inputs and outputs and will accept TS or TRS cables. For optimal sound quality you can use TRS cables. If you adapt/connect a TS cable to a TRS cable you no longer have a balanced connection but the audio will still work just fine. Unless you have really long cable runs or interfering you are unlikely to hear a difference in sound quality between TS or TRS. I often use RCA cables with a TS adapter, it’s ghetto but works just fine with line level devices (keyboards or electronic instruments). TRS cables can be used for a single stereo channel but the mixer has left and right balanced channels for stereo. In other words you can use TS or TRS and will have a stereo output regardless. TRS just offers the best sound quality. Keep in mind whatever your connecting to the other end of the cable must also support balanced inputs or outputs otherwise your just wasting money on TRS cables.
