Russian post-punk? There were hundreds of bands using these same beats for 40 years. I bet none of you know who Xymox is.

I would love to see in-depth guitar tutorials from you, like how you play it and then how you mix the recorded samples in FL. I’ve been looking at a lot of midwest emo tutorials and for a beginner guitarist like me, it’s quite confusing.

Lots of people have been asking for that! I don’t consider myself a guitar master haha which is why I haven’t done any yet but I’ll work on one soon for u guys!

I’ve been making tutorials for 2-3 years now but my old ones were suuuuper bad 😭😭 the truth is I’m always learning, that’ll never stop. When I made my first tutorial I barely knew shit, and I still feel like I don’t haha but I just keep going and that’s where the improvement comes from!

My brain personally feels higher end frequencies in the head more. I think it creates more of a head feel to add to the “higher” dreamy atmosphere that shoegaze creates
@shadowww16 күн бұрын
I definitely understand that bro for sure!
@kil0hz17 күн бұрын
Not even one mention of Deftones 😤
@shadowww16 күн бұрын
I feel like deftones is way more nu metal than shoegaze, even tho it can definitely fit both categories. With all that being said I’ll be making a deftones video soon 😏
@kil0hz16 күн бұрын
@@shadowww Admittedly I'm coming more from the metal side so I consider the heavy elements as a staple and the shoegaze was what distinguished them from their peers. So you are right, they do combine both nu metal and shoegaze elements some songs more so, some albums even more one or the other.

Actually goated video, would also highly recommend mentioning to adjust the velocity on the drum hits, if they're all the same volume it feels lifeless, also if you can afford it, I love EZ Drummer 3 as my drum VST, I use it all the time
@shadowww17 күн бұрын
Dope stuff bro thank you! I did briefly mention the velocity changes right before the quantizing part, I just didn’t go into that much detail. I’ll check EZ drummer out! Right now I bounce between the free MTpowerkit and the OneKitWonder metal library. My end goal is to make my own library! Hopefully in 2025

Awesome bro! I use a fender player series Strat that cost about 800 (I financed it) but if you’re a beginner I’d say get a squire, they start on Amazon for like 150! Amazon to get started and with amp simulators it won’t sound much different 😎
