The music during this sequence is really what made the salt flats so special. This whole place feels so surreal and alienlike. Bones of probably ancient beings scattered throughout the landscape while others seem to just have turned into stone. Makes you really think more about the lore of the world of FFVIII. Why were they wiped out? What are the salt flats?

I was so happy when i bought it 30 years ago i always played it with a 20 year pause, istarted like a year ago and i'm for the first time i reached the Mana Dragon but i always die so i never finished the game to this Day.

This whole channel remains criminally underviewed and underrated. Maybe you need a clickbait name or something, because it doesn't find you on searches usually. I often have to search "TPR" to find your stuff. In any case, this remains the most magical album on the channel IMO.

i absolutely love this album and it mostly sounds great, but i think you forgot to high pass the piano or something >.< there's a very pronounced low, muddy percussive sound from the piano while listening on subs that quite frankly sounds pretty bad :/ I know this is old but it would be a very easy fix if you ever happened to revisit this album

My favorite is VIII but I can easily say that IX has the best atmosphere and setting. Burmecia alone was its own realm. Enviromental storytelling is real
