When u fill shocks always pull the piston and valve completely down then fill oil to the top before pushing back to release air bubbles before screwing the top back on.

Your ideas and videos are awesome for the RC community. I hope you have time to share your ideas on the Typhon GROM and Rlaarlo AK-787 with foams and upgrades. I have upgraded my AK-787 with a PPS Habao motor mount, TP 4040 motor and Castle Mamba 8s ESC. I don’t have any ideas on whether the stock differentials need to be rebuilt and change the oil? Would appreciate your feedback on those bad boys! Thanks, brother.

Somebody might have mentioned it but a heat sink would help the motor temp issue. Also, you could cut a small hole in the body above the ESC fan.

Yeah I really do apologize for that! The system bolts right in you can even use the same pinion that was on the brushed motor. Do you have any specific questions about the install, maybe I can help. Again my apologies.

Thanks for the Video! I just installed the exact same combo but the cover wont close. The esc is too high. How did you do that sir?

I ground those front wire nubs down to the top chassis plate. Take them completely off, now you have a little bit of room to move the esc forward just a little. I also put I think 2 washers in all the hardware on the latch on the body and the back body notch. It was tight but it fits almost perfectly. If you still can't get it let me know and I'll try to help some more!👍 Basically you just gotta get rid of those wire holder nubs in the front so the esc can sit there.

@ I indeed removed those little nubs, but unfortunately it was not enough for the cover to close. 100% the washers will do the trick. Thank you very much for your response.

It worked! I 3D printed M5 washers. They give just enough room to close the cover. Thank you!

Just bought one and going through it. Haven't got to the diff yet but will probably just leave it since you already showed it was plastic. Nice vid! Will prolly Loctite those front control arm screws.

Yes the plastic diffs will definitely hold up to 2s power. Really only need to upgrade if your going to put more power to it. Yeah some locktite would help hold them in. I think they were a little loose from factory. I usually go over my bolts but didn't on this one. Thank you so much for watching our video! I really like the Grom platform!

Stock 18 tooth pinion. This motor esc combo has a 2.3mm shaft so it's just plug and play!👍
