Which tripod is this ? I need for edelkrone slider

Glad it's working out for you. I was shopping for a personal camera and also was turned off of more recent Blackmagic cameras because of the "ONLY BRAW" philosophy. I was really interested in the FX6 but the price was a bit too high for my needs so I ended up getting a BMPCC6KPro so I could still have ProRes+Raw and internal ND filters. The lower price left me more money for lenses and I love the camera but I do envy the sensor size and low-light performance of the FX6. I really hope Blackmagic changes course and starts putting ND Filters and ProRes in their full frame cameras again because I would have loved to go with the BMCC6K Full Frame or Pyxis cams instead.

Wholeheartedly agree about the matching to Alexa. I shot a film on the new G2 broadcast and pros thought I used an Alexa

Avoid Rhino like the plague. Zero customer support and the support they do provide has zero Q/A behind it.

Thank you for this video, very informative. I have a question that you may have knowledge on. What is your opinion if you were to mount the edelkrone slider and/or jib to a Proaim Quad Plus Film Camera Doorway Dolly, or something of that nature. Could a system like they have, using a variable bazooka mount, replace the need for a tripod? I am looking for a rig where I could dolly a slider into place, have variable heights and then click record to automate the movements.

It took me 28 years to start liking tomatoes, good crunch and honestly barely any flavor but very good.

Hey @myvideoversion I see that you use exactly the same setup, but I can not make it function to go up or down like it should. For instance I detach one spirng wire because the headplus with camera wont got down, and than when it got down, it won't go up because it needs one spring wire.

Man sorry to say it’s the biggest junk I ever bought wasted my money ! I have spend thousands of dollars where I could have bought much better and lighter weight in quarter of the price of junky Edelkrone it’s just a waste of money ! I fought if people will buy there product after the first time you buy an item that’s way over priced real junk metal made in Turkey 🦃. I am trying to sell all my Edelkrone on eBay for 80% off all new in mont condition and no one is buying or looking at it and what you are talking about is there largest junk they ever made you need a lift to carry with you it’s made so heavy for nothing and now they came with a Tripod for Thousands of Dollars thinking they are Sony or Oben or any big names instead of selling it for $150.00 as there are tons of quality Tripods for $150-400$ Edelkrone soon you will go out of business trust me .

Interesting to see! Great that you found the best solution for your needs. Personally speaking: i moved on from blackmagic cameras. If they work, they are truely great. But once you notice multiple technical or quality related issues, you cant unsee them. For example after getting my camera replaced, i noticed sensor color issues, that a client also noticed in post. That’s embarrassing. these camera’s became a deal breaker for me. I need reliable and great quality cameras that dont have technological flaws in regards to professional use. It just creates headaches and stress because you basically would need to perform an extensive and complete test of the camera in a lab to be sure that there are no issues. And even then 1 day later everything could be different again.

Thanks for the review! I got 4xPB12 and have been playing around with them for four months now. My main gripe with them was actually the output as I was used to 100-300W light range and the PB12 is only about 36W equivalent. I mean what should've I expected, right? They can still light up a room in some crazy colour if you need to, just don't expect to light something 3-5 meters away unless shooting f/1.2 at 1600 ISO. When setting the light 1m (3ft) away you can definitely use it as a keylight, though the shape and quality of the light is something you need to get used to. But when used right they have a ton of creative potential and use cases. They are, of course, mainly video lights but I've also used them for light painting in photography. With the smoothness of the pixel gradients the results are superb. There's been a new weird thing with the Sidus Link app recently where some of the features and effects are visible on two of my lights and not visible on two others. All firmware up to date. Plus the MagicFX button has completely disappeared from the bottom icons so I don't know what the hell is going on :D.

It's probably old news by now since you're a sharp guy but when mating circles on things you need to use a "Rosette" system. It comes in a variety of sizes and styled for mounting other things and is easy to retrofit with some drilling and tapping. It is round and has teeth and when tightened goes nowhere. As far as "feet" there are longer 1/4"#20 leveling legs for furniture that are like 3" long each. Sometimes you have to adapt from other fields and overcome not look back linearly.

Very useful comparison. I own the original Rhino Ultimate Bundle, and my motion unit died recently. I contacted support, but only got crickets. So my thoughts about Rhino is not good.

isnt the cinema version Parfocal? How is the auto focus on the stills version?

Can the built-in ND filters be replaced with ND/IR filters? If not they are sorta useless if you can't use them without adding a filter, might as well just add a better ND on the lens. Great test, very useful information and clear to see.
