I love the way he is almost completely unfazed by the miners doing their damnest to scare him away. He knows he is the biggest Kingfisher on the block and has a beak the size of the miners whole body.

The whole aggression dynamics on my terrace is complicated, and surprising. Now, I'm stressed because pigeons are getting swooped often by noisy miners and pigeons flapping their wings can be very noisy, which means I don't have to witness it to feel stressed. No, they fully understand it's a fake. People use animal and bird lawn ornaments and fake owls (to scare pigeons). They figure it out.
