I also have an ex650 and did this to the slightly faded panels. I found it best to take the panels off and wrap the vinyl right around the back edges of the part. If you stretch it against the edge and heat it the edge will shrink a bit around the back.

Thanks for the tip. I find the carbon fibre vinyl does not like to be stretched. Planning on doing the other side soon and will make a better video.

It's not a very clear vdo, I have the ER6N, do you have to remove the tank to top up the coolant?
@TheDeepPlanet2 ай бұрын
Hi mate. Yep, best bet is to use a funnel and a piece of hose about 30cm long to reach the radiator cap
@IansDrumsandBass2 ай бұрын
@@TheDeepPlanet ok tks. Can you not just full up the coolant reservoir?
@TheDeepPlanet2 ай бұрын
@IansDrumsandBass no. That won't be enough and also the coolant needs to fill the radiator and flow down into the water pump to get enough flow to move the coolant around the motor...
@IansDrumsandBass2 ай бұрын
@@TheDeepPlanet ok tks. I can see the radiator cap without removing the tank but I probably won't be able to get the cap off without removing the tank. So fill radiator to the top, check reservoir is correct, run engine, re - check radiator and coolant reservoir level? Is that ok? *Remember im not draining the system just topping up. *
@TheDeepPlanet2 ай бұрын
@@IansDrumsandBass oh right. My apologies - you can just top up the reservoir then. The full process is in one of my other full length vids. This was just a short I did a while back. I generally keep the level on the lower level with the bike upright (not on side stand) as it tends to overflow if I fill it to the upper line.

Hello. I have a 2006 er6f. I've noticed lately that if I let off the gas, the revs drop nicely, but between 2500-2000 it stops for 2-3 seconds and then continues. What could it be because of? My water pump is leaking, I will replace it soon based on your video (thanks :) ) could it have anything to do with it? Thanks in advance!
@TheDeepPlanet5 ай бұрын
Hi there. Thanks for your message. I doubt the water pump leaking has anything to do with your rev issue. Just so I understand , does the motor cut out between 2500 - 2000 rpm? That sounds like a timing or fuelling issue. I would start with the usual suspects : spark plugs, ignition coils, battery, stator coil, regulator rectifier, air filter. Next I would check throttle body sync, valve clearance, fuel pump, throttle bodies, injectors. Failing that it may be electrical or even your fuel mapping (ECU). It may be worth posting your question on the Facebook page dedicated to er6f bikes but I would start with the "usual suspects" first. Let me know how you go. You can also DM me on Instagram. instagram.com/thedeep_planet?igsh=NDV5bWp0c25rbTkw
