Do you even know what this week is about?? First of all, it’s about remembering the lives that have been lost within our community to hate crimes and suicide. 375 trans people have lost their lives this way. we have days to remember other tragedies, why is this any different? A life is a life and all of us have value in this world. Second of all, we as a community haven’t had a voice to explain our issues and so people that are misinformed (Matt Walsh and Ben Shapiro being the most popular) are speaking for us and they are spreading lies to use us as a scapegoat for elections and feelings of supremacy. I will leave with this: if you want to hate trans people, get to know them first, we are just people after all. We have hobbies, jobs, spouses, children, and pets just like anyone else. You will have a different outlook if you do reach out and get to know us. And if not, at least you’ll have an informed and educated knowledge of why you hate them.

Hello Iranti, I am a Trans woman from Venezuela. It was only at the beginning of this year that I found out about the ITF and have been waiting ever since for the next call for funding. I am an activist who defends Trans rights in my country and I have been part of an organization named ´Ciudadanía Diversa´ for 8 years. In this foundation we have always mobilized only our own resources have never given us help for the expenses of the activities. We currently have a project that benefits trans people. Since I heard about you I was reading the information in the International Trans Fund web page, but I still had some doubts... Watching this video solved all those doubts. I am now waiting for the 7th cycle to apply for my project. Greetings since LATAM =)

I am rewatching this after seeing it on Nolwazi's Facebook. I think what stands out for me is how the co-EDs are aware of each other. They're speaking and LISTENING to each other and that for me says they are in a safe space that allows them to be. The difference in how long they've each been with Iranti is exciting and makes an amazing ingredient for growth. May you guys keep soaring. Your wings remind us that we can all fly. ❤️❤️❤️❤️
