It would have been cool to hear some of his strike calls maybe?

Is this a trailer for a documentary about this courageous man or just some facts about him? If there is a documentary on him, does anyone know where I can see it?

Rest in peace, Steve. I enjoyed watching you work a game as much as I enjoyed the game itself.

I saw a few games that Steve umped, and he always maintained control with class. One night after an A's game, I wandered down to where the buses were, hoping to get a glimpse of some of the Yankees. I saw all these kids around a well dressed fellow. It was Steve signing autographs. Although I didn't care for an autograph, I shook his hand and game him my compliments regarding his professionalism and style. What a gent!

It might help if some of the greatest American role-models could keep it in their pants. Sets a wonderful example for kids in the ghetto...

I'm 44 years old and I grew up watching Fred "Da Hammer" Williamson films and was in awe with each and everyone of them. Specifically, the 70's films during the so-called Black Exploitation Era. I use to think I was him when I was a youngster. Three names jump out at me during the super 70's as the super bad brothers. Fred Williamson, Jim Kelly and Jim Brown. Also was Richard Roundtree and Ron O'Neal.

Thanks so much! It was such a thrill!!! There's a little tiny road off Rollins Lake Rd. that takes you right down to an overlook of 'Cape Horn.' I'll be posting some footage of a restored British 1800s steam train that is still in operation in Burma...we rode on it!!!
