Thanks Peter for showing how underrated the native iCloud Mail apps are! Lots of hidden powers!!!

I wish we could see more details of our reminders in the calendar app without having to go to reminders, like subtasks!

Things are not suited for detailed project planning and management work. light-weight is top. the org structure is elegant, but at the same time rigid and limited, it’s frustrating.

Many thanks for the fantastic video! I tried Todoist around 5-10 years ago but the bidirectional sync with Google calendar was buggy.

I just moved from Things 3 to Todoist earlier today due to the calendar feature alone. My ADHD brain desperately needs timeblocking; I can't function without it. I used to timeblock all of my tasks from Things to iCal and sync both manually. Now I can automate this process a bit faster with Todoist's calendar integration. It justifies the $48/year price. Cheaper and better than Akiflow.

Several people had created youtubes about Notes and it's tips but I haven't seen no one talking about how to use Notes to save a voice to text with Dictation. Could somebody tell me about his/her experience with it please. In my work I need to take notes and it would be very handy and fast if I can dictate instead of write it and then be able to save the information as text. Can you create a folder and then save a file from Dictation inside it? Thanks 😊 P.S I don't have an ipap, I would like to know if it works before investing on it because as I understand i would need one with good mic (Ex an ipad Pro).

For those who have several tasks to choose from, here are a few more productivity tips: - Hold down the CTRL key and select specific tasks you want to delete or edit. - Hold down the SHIFT key and set the start and end points to select all tasks within that range.

Omg I’m jealous you have the beta! Since the announcement, ive built up the idea SO much in my head but it’s led me to get more and more inpatient. You do seriously great videos! Informative and pleasant but not so much extra that focus is lost. Liked and Subscribed. Definitely going to watch all his vids.

I don't think a buttery smooth interface is something that stands out for Things 3 over other apps anymore, especially not ToDoist. ToDoist have also worked on speed, performance and I also really like their interface. It's great that they are merging more with time blocking and calendars, it doesn't make sense to view tasks without time attached to it anymore. Maybe soon there's no need for Akiflow with the pace ToDoist is moving now. My favorite features of theirs is their custom filters. If you learn the syntax you can create very custom filters, for example, all my priority 1+2 tasks that are due today + overdue tasks.

How do you “complete” a project like you would do in Things 3, and then how do you see it in your “Logbook”? This is the main thing that keeps from using Todoist fully

Really enjoyed this video Peter. I've slowly been adding to my Things 3 setup for a while, and adding a weekly review has significantly helped clear and reset my focus for the upcoming week. I've refined it a little here and there, and that's the magic of Things 3. It's simplicity allows for that! Thanks for the video :)

An intro to Apple Notes would have been helpful. It doesn’t appear on my iPhone at all though I presume it is hidden somewhere. It would be nice to know what it is good for and why I would use it. The other tricks in the video are shown so quickly that they are hard to follow. Some of us are not so adept, so slow things down a bit please!
