Every time (10 out of 10 times) the balls were released into a spinner, they all went into the same section of the spinner. The odds of that are astronomical.........or was it planned that way???

That wasn't intentional. It is just down to the timing. There is a checkpoint before each spinner. The checkpoint is programmed to trigger x number of seconds after the start of the race, so whatever happens right after the checkpoint will be similar for each race. 🙂

Fair enough. :) I am blown away by the incredible accuracy of the physics built into 3D animation software, specifically Blender in this case. And with animation new things are possible that are difficult or impossible in real life, e.g. night races, variety of balls/surfaces, crazy camera angles, variable gravity, toy planes flying through the scene etc. Much respect to people who do marble races in real life though.

I’m a very weird and bored individual. After enjoying just watching the video, I decided to see how the marbles would do under a points system. Each marble scored its associated color points based on how it placed among them at each checkpoint in each round. Here are the results for each round and altogether. Idea: A championship where, in addition to the top 5 marbles scoring points for their teams, the three teams that get a certain amount of their marbles over the finish line first will also score points (3 for 1st, 2 for 2nd, 1 for 3rd), and I say "a certain amount" instead of "all" because a marble falling off the track is always a possibility. It would reward consistent overall team performances without taking away the individual aspect of the event.

I think the only mistake... and not really a mistake but just physics, was light green list s ball over the edge I think in race 2...

Yeah sometimes I can't keep them all on the track. There were several crashes in this race, especially at the section just after the tunnel. I could build more walls everywhere, but I think it is cool if we have crashes sometimes, as long as it does not happen all over the place.
