@@moreballs Can I ask a question (or two)? I've been playing around with Blender for six months or so, and was starting to mess around with just the kind of things your videos, among others, are doing. Learning a lot more about rigid bodies, graph editing, drivers, etc.. Just curious what scale your animations are at? People have told me to stick with real life scale because the physics work better, but Blender itself seems (to me) to behave a little wonky to me if I model things using actual billiards-ball scale (Ball is 6cm diameter). And do you bake the whole animation before rendering, or just let it go?

@@thtuskey I think bigger is better. These marbles are 6 feet diameter! :) The smaller I go the more wonky - collision calculations get out of whack. With very large marbles you have to set the rigid body speed higher, otherwise it looks like slow motion. Yeah I bake the whole thing so that I can use frame dropping to play at actual speed when keyframing the camera movements. Have fun and keep at it. I've been playing with Blender for about 2 years now. Took me a year before I could make anything half decent.

@@moreballs 6 feet diameter? At first I thought that's huge but my setup defaults to 1m radius for spheres, so 2m diameter, which is just about 6 feet. Does that match what you do?

I think it would be better if the colors came together earlier in the race instead of staying in their own lane for 90% of the race. Other than that - Outstanding races and graphics!

Why are these so fun to watch?! :) Nice - yeah, Suno is pretty cool. I've added this tool to my music making tool box - hard to say what's going to happen with it, though. A ton of lawsuits against their language model. They trained on a bunch of music they won't disclose. Weird times :)

Many thanks Tim. Weird times indeed. We have the same situation in graphic design (my day job). I suspect that the law will eventually view AI learning the same as human learning: You can learn from what others are doing, but you can't create derivatives. Whether or not AI is creating derivatives is then the question.

How about a drastic change in the course setting? If there is no change in the course setting, even if you change the indoor/outdoor setting, you will get bored. I think there could be a bold change in the course setting.

Yeah fair enough. I didn't want to be the race to be decided by the halfway point, that's too boring, so I wanted to mix it up near the end of the race. Lately though I'm trying to mix it up less, so that the front runners have an advantage. Many thanks for the feedback.
