It is cut... he jumped from about 15m into the Water and at the end he jumped from anywhere...and it was cut again... Chris Sharma videos always show the climbing harder than it is. big holdes are hidden, and the cut and perspective is strange - he looks very weak and with no colour, he always seems to be tired and ill.... i do not believe that he has any power... every one who is training and who has got a bit fresh air and sun is more powerful and more healthy in his appearance... I do not believe anything about climbing...

Beautiful coastline to scramble around on, but never done any real climbing there as it's sandy AF. Like sex on the beach, better in the imagination.

That's the second time I've seen that injury! In the semifinal of a world cup event about 10 years ago Sashi Amma fell on the last move and cracked his chin that way. He was rushed to the local hospital, got stitched up and was back for the final later that day. Got on the podium as far as I remember.

Why inject politics? I watch climbing videos to get away from that crap. Lots of people I boulder with from Ohio were Trump voters.

yes the guy Yes, the guy who equipped it could only do it that way, we assume that he didn't have the level to climb it and he equipped it the way he could.

Not to make any controversy but this line look doable to be climb using trad gear. Is there any info about this line being tryed trad or if it's event possible (the crack looks open but small and flared). May be it's just to dangerous and the gear would be to small for such a hard climb.

I was the one who filmed this route and I think that despite being equipped with too many anchors, I think it could be tried in traditional, but it's hard as hell hahahaha

@landonpop7646 Жыл бұрын
if you're tying in with a figure 8 knot, then yes you need to go through the top and bottom loops. If you're clipping in with a twist-lock carabiner no.
@mattie_gaming Жыл бұрын
Looks like this is auto belay only so you're not using a figure 8. Just a carabiner. Seeing as it's not soft gear on soft gear, friction won't damage either material and tieing in the belay loop is just fine

Why do they put in that many bolts? I see that with a lot of new routes that the bolts are not even 2m apart. Seems strange like climbing indoors. Also you always need to use one hand to clip yourself in which can sap relevant strenght. I mean this is far above my level so its not a critic just an observation.

Congratulations, Mr. Sharma. I reminisce often about a time in the 90s when you competed at my local gym (Rockn & Jammin) in Colorado. I was in awe watching you, Katie Brown, Tommy Caldwell, and other forces in the sport post comp boulder and pull down some of the hardest problems in the gym like it was a warm up. Most vivid was a 8-10 move sloper problem on a 45ish degree section of the wall and you campused it....I was in my early teens- it was amazing. I followed you then and I still do in my late 30s. I dig the impact you had and continue to have on the sport. Well done! Hopefully one day I can climb at one of your gyms....bucket list.
