Sounds like you brought it for a fraction of the price of a real one expecting it to be real? When buying anything that can be cloned Buy from a reputable source.
@johnathan.jerusik26 күн бұрын
@golddigger9762 at the time, the new bugouts were 140 ish. So i bought the new one from a reputable site for 140. The 2nd one, that turned out to be fake, I bought on Ebay with the intent to modify it. i wanted to keep one original and one i wanted to modify. The seller used pictures of a real bugout. And I bought it for around 110-120. So I really didn't save alot of money buying it off of ebay. So it's not like I spent 20 bucks and thought I was getting a real one. I still spent over 100 dollars on the fake. Pictures and everything pointed to it was a real bugout. That's how I won over ebay because they posted pictures of a real bugout and sent me a fake.
@joshj7012Ай бұрын
Almost all the bugouts on eBay are Chinese clones, sadly. Scammers know that they can buy a fake one for 20 bucks and that some person will buy it sight unseen for a 500% profit. Anyways, the biggest giveaways are the finish on the blade and clip. The clones almost always use a glossy paint that comes off really easily, and the real ones use some sort of matte finish

My 1st pedal was the lower end King Cobra Double Pedal. I'm getting back into drumming after 20yrs and I've been trying Serval Pedals. I didn't like the Pearls and I currently have a Trick Drums Pedal and I just cant get used to the the plats and Direct drive feel. So I'm down to choose between DW900 and KC 900. I'm not liking how the DW 900 has the spring on the inside and it kind of graces my foot. Thank you for you Video you clean honest compassion from a real person will help a lot of folks.
@johnathan.jerusik2 ай бұрын
@fgonz1983 hey I went on the same journey! And thank you for the kind words!! I had the tricks and the dw9000s for awhile. To me the DW5000XF is like the iron cobra 900s and the dw5000 mixed into one pedal. I didn't care for the dw9000. It was almost too smooth if. I'm not sure if that's a bad problem but I like my pedal to have a little "fight" I guess. For direct drive pedals I really like the Tama dyna sync. For non direct drive I like the dw5000xf. Yes, I see the appeal of higher end pedals but I past a certain point, like the dw5000 series or the IC900, the cost compared to quality you don't really "gain" that much. Yes the trick or the DW direct drives have great quality with the full steel pedals and machines parts. But the cost can be really high. I say if you want longer boards the DW XFs come with an 11inch board. And most other brand make a long board that's are 13 inch boards.

@johnathan.jerusik2 ай бұрын
@user-ww4od4jl1f ok so the stone wash didn't hold up. I use the knife. I use it for almost everything. I have chopped up old Christmas trees where I have gotten sap all over it. What am suppose to do, not use the knife? It's a tool. Side note what's a "regular grind". I have seen all kinds. Currently it has a secondary convex edge. And it works great. As for "what grind is best". There's pros and cons to many different edges, grinds, geometry. This isn't a cut Amazon packages kind of knife. This is I'm going through logs, and small trees. Making a camp fire for my family and I. If you don't like the company for a reason that's your opinion. If you have factual reasons of why the knife sucks then let me know! But not liking something because of grind, or wash, or brand, or even price isn't facts. There are plenty of brands with knifes that are expensive. The new buck buckmaster v2 is 800 dollars. I'd never buy one, because it's to expensive, and I don't need it. But I'm not going to go on people's videos and make rude comments just because I don't like something. Have a great day.
@user-ww4od4jl1f2 ай бұрын
@@johnathan.jerusik *It's true. A knife is a tool and it has to be used. Each of the 4 sharpening methods has its advantages and disadvantages. But that's not what I meant. When I wrote about a regular grind I meant a blade grind without a stonewash. It's not true that I don't like Reiff. I expected that Reiff (here it costs almost $500) would better withstand a year of use. I still have my 1st knife (which is over 50 years old) and it looks much better. From experience I know that polished metal withstands better, which results from the properties of the metal. I would never buy Buckmaster v2. Painted metal quickly loses its appearance. Besides, it's just ugly. But I also have Buck 119 for 30 years. It looks new, but I haven't used it much. A tool should serve for a long time and always look good. I take care of my tools. Have a nice evening, Johnathan.*

You seem to know GF Kwikplug wiring so here is my question, wiring a strat that is HH bought a set from GFS and the wiring is W- coil tap, R-+, B- ground and copper shield wire - ground. Most Humbucker diagrams I can find have North Start, North Finish and South Start South Finish so how can I apply this to the color wires on My pickups? Also the strat will have 1 volume and 2 tones with coil tap each tone cap Thanks
@johnathan.jerusik3 ай бұрын
@clintrichardson1248 So I did this recently. Gfs coil taps are a bit different. So you R goes to your hot. B is your ground, and you would hook up the white to the coil tap. I know it seems weird but trust me it works. I talked to GFS about it. It seems weird and I confused me by how simple it is.

Chinese pot metal for the counterfeit blades! Not good! 👎
@dhaas1203 ай бұрын
John, you are getting mad at the wrong people, you should be mad at Benchmade. I import a lot of products from China. Let me be clear, I don’t import any patented products and surely don’t put other companies name on them. I have been in factories in China where a high-end expensive brushless router is being made and on the next assembly line, which is separated by a fence, the same router is being assembled. One is red and the other is pink, but 95% of the parts are EXACTLY the same. Also, the workers working on the assembly lines are assigned to whichever line needs them that day, there is no separation of church and state. The dirty little truth is that the branded, patent holding companies look the other way because having that counterfeit being made there REDUCES THEIR COST TO MAKE THEIR PRODUCT! If Benchmade wanted to defend their intellectual property and prevent counterfeiting they could hire a firm to audit the factory where the knife is made. I know Benchmade says they make their knives in the US, but there are certain knives made in Taiwan or China and they do get parts for their knives in China. I think most of their high end blades are made in the US, but the lower lines are Chinese sourced. The best company at enforcing their brand is Ping. They have over 40 dedicated auditors that canvas China to make sure none of their product gets duplicated. Even with that investment they do not catch all the counterfeiters! We work hard to enforce our intellectual property rights but it is impossible because the Chinese government will not prosecute the counterfeiters. I know it is maddening but remember this would happen if there were not a market for the counterfeits.

They are close to the real thing, you think China can’t make a bedazzled metal stick?! Oh no it’s so far outside of their technology to pull off a stupid knife! 🙄 The only way you can tell is by busting out calipers and a magnifying glass and to have a real one next to it. Keep getting ripped off bud, keep spending $600+ for SnapOn tools when Chinese Icon tools not only match but sometimes BEAT SnapOn tools. But guys like you happily fork over hundreds $$$… Can’t argue with stupid.

I've had a DW5000 double pedal for about 10 years. Only ever had to change the springs and beaters. But I am very tempted by the Yamaha FP9 series. Just feels like a waste of money and/or frivolous expense to get a new pedal that is going to be stood and looks pretty
@johnathan.jerusik4 ай бұрын
@w00x360 I had one. I didn't care for it. So I had a list of pedals that I had bought. Everything from single chain cheap pedals up to Trick pedals. I had dw9000, Tama dynasonic( for got the name), and the high end yamaha pedals. And I was not very happy with the yamahas. Plus they weren't easy to adjust. Out of all the pedals I bought it was a split between the IC900 and the dw5000. After I learned the difference that's why I went with the Dw5000xf. It gave all the build quality and features of the dw5000, but close playability to the IC900.
