So someone who has gone through years of medical training can’t give some basic advice about not eating microplastics just because he specialised in surgery? I think he has more than the necessary expertise to tell people that eating microplastics is bad.

@chrisschilder1316 actually no, you d be amazed by the sheer ammount of people spreading misinformation just cause they re like a dermatologist or some sht, and doctors specialized on the subject are calling them out, he can give an opinion but not medical advice about something he s not educated in, and 2 occasions in residency dont count

if its an emergency surgery theyll have to do it anyway with risk to the baby but most plastic surgery isnt an emergency

To be clear Im not a doctor. It is likely to first and foremost be affected in states whereas they have no or little in the way of protections for trans folks. The states with protections will be harder to effect as their own state constitutions often have trans rights enshrined already in them. That being said its hard to say how much the new executive orders will be taken seriously as they aren’t direct laws but they are used to direct policy in a specific way consistent with the fascists campaign promises. All that to say hopefully not much immediately? And additionally last time the fool was playing president things did get held up in courts beyond belief and I would expect a similar outcome. And with all that out of the way for your own safety I’d try to find a queer/trans inclusive self defense program and the purchase of a firearm or any weapon you can reasonably and lawfully carry goes a long way in defending ones own life against hate crimes due to those committing them being less evolved.
