Obama and his communist Komrades destroyed the majority of these cars with "cash for clunkers". They don't want us owning these cars.

This was the first time Top Gear was a good show. Clarkson, Wilson and Needell were all great presenters and made a great team. It was so much better than it was before. When they changed the format it sucked for a good decade until they found their feet. Some of those early 'new' TG episodes from the early 00s were absolutely rubbish

It's crazy how much has changed since the 90s and early 2000s. My earliest memories are around 2002 and it all looked just like this, I had a boxy tube tv, alot of petrol stations still had the analogue displays and all the cars had sharp edges. We didn't get household internet til about 2005 IIRC, and I always had to fight my sister off the phone so I could use the dial up 🤣

Had a late model Alfa 164 3.2 V6. The Busso engine noise is legendary. Reliability risk unknown. Swiftly written off in an accident. At least the other driver admitted blame.

It’s funny he says you need to do 70000 miles to see the benefit of diesel vs petrol and now they’re saying it’s 70000 miles to see the benefit of EV vs Petrol or Diesel. What happens at 70000 miles?

Global Warming was discredited over 586 times since then. Diesel is dirty filling the oil and everything else with soot. It accelerates like a kite and a still day. Like a jon boat underwater. Poor acceleration and high fuel prices and now in 2025 DEF requirements and prices are all death to the diesel market despite its high torque output and better fuel efficiency. Mike for Mike though is diesel cheaper to drive? I doubt it.

The only car I ever bought new. Four friends also had them in the early 90s. Go hard into a bend, lift off for a millisecond, car tucks in then power on. A scream to drive.

The Nissan looks the most modern of these. It looks like a 90s car while the other two look like cars coming from the late 1980s even if they were brand new in 1991.

Simple science.... Petrol burns easier you light a match near petrol it lights even the vapours, take a lit match to deisel and nothing. I remember the uk government saying how much cleaner ad better deisels were and really pushing us all to buy deisel. Look at the percentage per population of astmha etc that went up during the 90's no coincidence for me. Anyone who buys deisels today are just pure selfish beings.
