Nice fish was hoping to get out on the Trent this week but conditions are a bit extreme currently. Hopefully things will have calmed down enough to visit early next week

Thanks. The photo wasn't taken as HDR, but was put through a filter in photoshop just to try and bring it to life a bit as the day was so dull

It's decent for Pike to be fair. Giving it a rest for a while now. Went for Barbel yesterday on another stretch, not a bad few hours

@@luke_angling yes, I fished it myself over the years. I think it gets a bit hammered now. Lee from Obsession for Angling does a lot of videos from there too

No bullshi# like OFA. Well done. Only point I would like to raise is, please don't wait for the 'run' to develop, even in cold conditions. The club who controls the stretch are big on predator welfare, sooner or later you will get a deep hooked fish. You might miss the odd take, but it's all about the welfare of the fish. Tight lines and I look forward to seeing your other vids.

It's a pleasure to see a young man enjoying his pike fishing and giving them the respect they deserve ,I've been pike fishing for forty yrs now and it still gets my nerves jingling when I get a runn .merry Xmas, and here's a sub from us guys at fishing all seasons .😊

Its never to cold for pike to chase lures. Forget that myth. I'm lure fishing for pike for over 20 years in cold winter conditions and catch very well. Greetings from The Netherlands

Yes lad lure fishing at this time of the year has been very productive for me, especially on the river have had alot of doubles recently on the lures.
