We are lucky in Yorkshire England we have plenty of barbel rivers they are an amazing and addictive species of fish . I'm totally hooked on catching them . Magnificent creatures.

@@luke_angling great to see, the upper Trent stretches (west of the M1) have been tough going for the barbel. *For me at least

@@BarneyTrent Where I fish it's not been too bad. There is one swim now where an otter has decided to live and the fishing on that peg has really suffered.

@@BarneyTrentmy fishing on the Trent (Long Eaton/Sawley) has been very challenging this season with numerous blanks. Will try this approach next time to see if that makes a difference. Sometimes simplicity is the best approach.. Nice fishing and a great video another new subscriber!
