Thanks for this comment. I was just looking at old videos and wondering why this and a few others stopped getting views. I think the fire got this area recently so it looks way different too.

I thought I saw a small frog in the lower left hand corner of a frame in the above video. I am interested in native toads. Did you happen to see any toads or toad tadpoles? I am so pleased that this land has been set aside for our native wildlife and plants so they have a place to live in peace. Your 4K looked great on my 2023 top of the line LG 4K OLED TV! I need to buy a 4K digital camera! I shoot almost exclusively motion picture film - Some Super8 but, mostly 16mm and little bit of 35 mm in an old 1935 35mm camera that can only hold 100 ft of 35 mm film.

Thank you. I am glad you enjoyed on the big screen! There was a frog hiding in the shot! I noticed them and tried for a few minutes to get one close up but they were very good at running/hiding. I already had the difficult butterfly to capture so didn't want to take on another sneaky wildlife.

Wonderful video! You are right - the surrounding area is also interesting and beautiful. My very favorite spot is out and across the graben/sink to the east of the crack: you can see how the whole area collapsed into a slight “bowl”… Thanks for posting this peaceful depiction of my backyard!

Born and raised in the PacNW - THANK YOU for the text card at the beginning. We desperately need people to show more respect to the vegetation, animals, and culture in general.

This report has already become an important record of a species that populated a certain region of the planet. When Your Little Butterflies Count More Than A Decade, In addition to the Tiny Blue Butterfly, Other Species Certainly Have Perished. Terrible Human Nature Has Miserably Failed ! We Are Past the Point of No Return A Long Time Ago.

I wonder if Fender's Blues will interbreed with other small blue butterflies like the Silvery Blue.If they do that could be a reason they are so rare.
@MattCookOregon3 күн бұрын
That is a very good thought. I hadn't found anything about the two cross breeding so assumed it wasn't happening.

I haven't ever hosted tours myself. The lodge does some horseback stuff I think? Cornucopia has seemed a little mismanaged over the years in my opinion.
