I personally would keep the Floodgates since they are more important to counter the meta. But if you wanna go for speed, I can see how those cards can help as well!

@@DareDevinX Yea, that's why I only left it at the tech choices. At most you would only tech in 1 just because you can evo ontop of the red eggs.

@@AVAULT That's fair. Although you would probably want to max out on the newer Flamemon first. I have been testing with it and I'm not sure, but you don't really have the space for more than like 2 or 3 copies. There is a neat interaction with Flamemon, as its inherited can be triggered when being tucked under the dual tamer. I also really like the idea of Koichi, I'm gonna test that for sure! Another cool synergy the new dual tamer has is with BT7 Beowolf, as it basically lets you retrieve pieces from the trash (but with extra steps). I'm going back and forth between more copies of Beowolf and the new Daipen, as both serve a similar role in clearing small bodies to remove bigger threats with AncientGaruru. Daipen does improve your matchup against Mother-based decks however, since it has iceclad, so your opponent can't block for free. Also, similar to red hybrid decks, as long as you run the dual tamer, you could include one or two copies of the new Gigasmon as a finisher. Should work in the blue based version as well.

Can’t speak for avault, but from my multiple hours on this deck in bt17 and now one of the things I always wanted was more Koji names for consistency, I found it strange that he chose to run 7 I personally run 10 and 1 koichi

@ProfNoGood I just remember from all my testing in 17 as well how important it was to hit that BT17 Koji. I feel like if I was picking the tamer lineup, I'd also be running probably 10 with 4 on the BT17, 3 on BT7 Koji, 3 on Dual Tamer just to make sure I'm seeing all of them. Maybe could cut down 1 somewhere, maybe just 3 of each or something

Balancing the tamers was pretty hard. I do think the BT18 Takuya Koji should be anywhere between 2-3. But I do sometimes miss the BT17 Koji and sometimes go back to 2. But just need to find something else to cut.

In a meta where LKM exists, crimson blaze still has plenty of worth.

Gigas is also searchable. I bottomdecked Omni too many times.

Both maybe are worth it, but Gigasmon works better if have Takuya and Koji in hand after Ancientgrey pop and if u also have Analog in play to make sure stills your turn. So for Gigas+Takuya Koji+Analog(s), i would rather prefer just Omnimon

@ruikarma yeah but crimson holds decks like LDK at bay while you set up for the OTK. OTK strategies can be wildly inconsistent, especially in this game where you need to see specific pieces to make that happen. For red, the problem is that sometimes theres too many pieces that need to be found before it can happen. Not to mention, you need to set up trash in order to get sources under your tamer. That's where analog youth comes in to save the day. On top of that, it can steal your turn back to deal the finishing blow with Gigas with another dual tamer on board or in hand.

I'm toying with a deck that has both Ancient and Emperor that aims to load the trash with early aggression via Ancient and then using warp Takuya to finish with Emperor Still waiting on my Ancients to arrive lol

@ the only reason I can think of is that Beetlemon became black and they didn’t want to have 3 lines in one main colour. Although that has a tonne of contradictions considering how many now go into red and yellow. I know you did Aqua but it would be nice to see the Fish hybrid deck

Good for most decks as long as it’s legal

On my deck works very well. I prefer him instead of Bokomon.

Ukko is very good for consistency and early rush. I don't like the floating white turd as much as the next person, but even I can't deny what it does for any deck that utilizes it.

Ukko is only good if you open it, or see one next turn. After that I rarely see a good chance to use it.

@@hugemclargetall Yeah, after you get past the chance to memory choke your opponent, digivolving for 1 kind of feels bad. I still think it has utility after the first turn, but it's certainly less strong after that point.

@@pablobarrientos2071 That tamer is kind of insane actually. I think it should be a mandatory 3x in ANY hybrid deck using red or yellow in any capacity. I've even replace the Matt's in Purple Hybrid with it, and it definitely helped.

Proto Form is the the other method to make sure I can get the full effects of Dynas X without needing the regular Dynas in the stack. Furthermore it makes it a 3 cost evo instead which is why I would even consider running more of it! Hope this clarifies it!
