This is the best minecraft hard rock series that I've ever found. I wanted to play survival, I was thinking which build to take, and quite by chance I came across this video on KZbin algorithms. I watched a couple of episodes in one go and the choice was definitely made - I will also survive in hard rock using these episodes as a guide. Special thanks that this is literally an instructional video without anything superfluous, it can be used as a clear guide. Most other authors have a style more about what adventures they have and how they go ahead by trial and error. But here everything is clear and to the point.

Here's a tip,whenever you want to use prospector's pick always dig down with your pickaxe in the ore deposit because they're usually found deep underground and not just on the surface ,I mean you can use it while on surface but you have better luck while underground

How did you craft the hopper? I would have liked to see that since it requires a gear to complete, which from my experience so far is very hard to get early game.

If memory serves, wooden hoppers require small gears which is just using a saw on a wooden half slab. Correct me if I’m wrong though!

How do you reduce the lag/framedrops? I cannot for the life of me get it to stop no matter what I adjust. Great video, watching the series!

I’m fortunate enough to have a very high end PC, but you can’t change also use something called flywheel to help with the lag Create makes, particularly waterwheels. Type /flywheel then backend then instancing to help with this. It does create some minor texture bugs with shafts from my experience though.

When using filters; dust collects on the floor. Placing a filter from pollution of the realm in the floor where the dust collects. If you use brass rods, you can create a gold filter housing and collect the dust with paper, or with any of the woven cloths you can get from the loom. You don't receive any items from cleaning the pollution, but if you're in an area where space is limited, using these filters keeps the dust out. They work the same way when placed atop the stone and metal chimneys for piping out the airborne pollutants.

If you press "B" you'll pull up blaze map. In that, there is a geology tab. In that tab there are 2 setting you can toggle; ore nuggets, and rock types. If ore nuggets are toggled on, then in blaze map there will be little pings of the different types of ground nuggets that you have picked up. This is is a different way to find where you've picked up certain minerals. Hope this helps!

Why are there so few mobs?

In HardRock, mobs don’t spawn on the surface, they have to spawn underground. Although, there are still wolves and bears etc. that will hunt you on the surface.

It’s been suggested by a few people and I’ll definitely give it a try in the future! It’s a more fleshed out version of TFC HardRock as far as I’ve seen.

I recommend Vintage story! Terrafirmacraft is great but vintage story is just better in every aspect

The vintage story is similar but the peak of technology in it - the Crusader's steel armor and most of the gameplay is something between the Middle Ages and the Stone Age. TFC HardRock also have the beginning of the Stone Age and the Middle Ages, but the peak of technology is a nuclear reactor and microchips. More content means a longer horizon.

I really like your format and how well you explain how to do things and what you recommend too. I am actually quite liking your editing style, too, keeping the content moving without cutting too much out so it all feels like it has a very nice and satisfying flow to the video content. Also, something to note for your playthrough in this pack, is that in single-player worlds, the waystone that you have is fairly useless as it's only actually useful once you get a second one and you won't be able to get a second one until you get to the modpacks endgame content.

I know some people might not agree, but i turned waystone spawning on for my sp playthrough. Makes it a bit easier for that at least :p
